What is your actual point? You want Waghorn playing instead of Yakubu and Vassell? I challenge you to find someone on here that wants Waghorn to start the next 3 games.

What you originally said is ridiculous.

So why has Sven brought Ben Mee in then?

Expect him to start on Saturday. Either Berner or Hobbs will be rested..

Is he going to replace both of them? No. Berner, maybe. But not Hobbs. At least I hope not anyway!

Berner looks more likely to be replaced seeing as he seems to have only come in for Cunningham. I still think he has a spot in the team though.

Give it a rest. You specifically said you wanted him to start a few games. I just want you to explain your point because to me it makes no sense.

And Kitchandro, I think Howard started because Waggy is on his way out on load. I know he said something to Stringer but that was all very ambiguous and I still won't be surprised to see him go. If there aren't plans for him to leave then I completely think he should have started tonight.

That doesn't mean I think 'he should be starting a few games though.'

Hopefully Berner, I like him but his legs have gone and his positioning for their 2nd goal was poor.

Sven needs to start cracking the whip, he seems to be reluctant to let certain players go. But the fact is Howard and Oakley are no longer required, they wasn't required a year ago and they certainly aren't now. A new keeper and wide man are also a must before the window closes.

Adam Johnson and Carlos Tevez are hateful people who I wouldn't feel too emotionally stirred by if I saw them in a car crash.

Aside from that - another fine performance from the lads and I'm proud to be a City fan again. We won't get promoted unless we tighten up at the back. That can only come from a settled back four. I love Bamba but so far he seems to switch between the sublime and the ridiculous. Hopefully he'll settle in next to Jack Hobbs now until the end of the season though. Defences need familiarity.

Our midfield's brilliant. Gally going off tonight shows how important a player he is. We could've won that game had he been on for the whole match.

Vassell was missed as well.

But we did the best with the resources we had. Steve Howard still does a job for this club but it shouldn't involve a regular starting place. Sven seems to agree on that though.

Fans outsang them. Made them look like a pathetic bunch of no-hopers that they are. Money can't buy class lads.

Let's hope we get things right in the league now. If not, it's going to be a very frustrating few months.

Up the City!

No.

No.

No.

We don't need a LB or a CB so fuck off with the 'need replacing bollocks'. Look who they were up against - Tevez and Silva.

Shay Given isn't coming to us unless Sven told a lie after the match.

Yak won't score a hat-trick.

Berner is too slow and out of position a lot of the time and is no good faced with pace.

Hobbs doesn't inspire me with confidence and makes too many mistakes.

They are doing this at CHAMPIONSHIP level. Partly excusable tonight.

Didn't here the post match interview. Can't believe that the bookies have got it wrong for a change !!

WE ARE ALL ENTITLED TO OUR OPINIONS - that;s what this forum is all about.

Well he seems Ok with letting Fryatt and Waghorn go, and Berner as well up until he played against Man City the first time, yet Oakley and Howard still seem to be worthy in his eyes. So yes, I find that a bit baffling.

I think Berner should still be our first choice left back, but he can't hack more than a game in a week and more than 3 consecutive games probably takes it out of him.

Alright, i'll take the bait for as long as i can be arsed.

Waghorn 'specifically' starting games- If sven wants him to stay, start him for a few to guage him and either he excells or he goes.

I posted in another topic that i think he may have indicated to Sven that he wants to go and that is why i think Sven is not giving him enough game time to produce what we all know he can.

I could be wrong but i'm not gonna have a thrombo over it.

Hobbs was a bombscare last night. The mistakes he made for two of the goals were shockers, regardless of the opposition.

He was also VERY lucky not to be sent off after the penalty, in which case he'd have been suspended for Saturday anyway.

He's suffered at times already this season due to a loss of confidence, and the constant change of defensive partners hasn't helped him either. Sven may decide that, as with Waghorn, he needs some time out of the firing line.

By the way what's all this bullshit about not sending Hobbs off being "sensible refereeing" and saying "well the ref's already given the penalty he doesn't need to be punished twice" - IF YOU DENY A GOALSCORING OPPORTUNITY, IT'S A FOOKING RED CARD!!!

Who gives a toss if the rule is reasonable or fair or whatever - it's the rule, and I can't for the life of me understand how Halsey would explain his decision.

Not saying I wanted Hobbsy to get sent off of course, but just not understanding these people saying that ignoring the rules of the game is "sensible refereeing"?

Surely you can see that wasn't 'bait' then. You said you would like to see Waggy played. But he clearly isn't in the right place at the mo, whether that's his problem or Sven's it is left to be seen.

I love weale, he's always been amazing for us.

I was pretty down tonight, but ater reading all your comments I realise how proud I should be to be a fox. Not many clubs have a soul like ours.

Kind of.

I would just like the relative luxury of a 3rd choice striker who isn't confined to playing only when Yak or Vassell or both are injured. They will need to be rested at some stage too and then what?

Unfortunately Waghorn doesn't seem to be getting the chance to progress to the playing level of his peers and he is itching to prove he can be as good as his peers.

What can yo do?

I think it's pretty mute point anyway cos we'll just end up buying another decent forward who is happy to sit on the bench and get paid.

And Waggy will probably help the sheepshaggers to pip us at the playoff post.

Yeah it's a shame he's ended up in this situation but the whole 'he left his boyhood club to join us and is now being frozen out' thing has already been done.

I would like him as a 3rd striker but like I said, if he's not up for it then not much can be done. Like you said though, if we're in for another striker then it's pretty moot. If we're not however, it's Howard :/

Really happy to call my self a leicester fan, naughton played really well in my eyes, and yuki just does not stop running! haha

think it was red card for hobbs personally, glad it wasn't but you can't do that last man and through on goal.

Either way C'mon city! :scarf:

Watched a somewhat jerky stream online. Thought Bamba, Naughton, Dyer, Gally and Weale looked quality tonight. Waggy did well as well in the short time he had. Really don't wanna see Waggy go - let's just hope he gets a start ahead of Howard against Millwall

Seen the reply in the ground when leaving....our end after Dyer bagged to make it 3-2 ....WOW. Looked carnage.

Tommeh's mate in the M.City end said the Poznan/Grecque looked amazing.

Leicester really having a go at City. Very impressive so far.

You know you've played well when one of the world's best midfielders says so!

And his tweet about the Tevez goal/our penalty. I don't think he knew Gallagher!

Please tell me the whole away section was doing it? I didn't see it on the TV. Support sounded awesome all night again

You serious? Hard to tell how many people are involved when you're in the middle of it!

Haha I turned around after like 10 seconds thinking that was it and everyone else was still doing it. Swiftly turned my arse back round and carried on, was quality.

I was only a Tv spectator last night but although I'm proud of the lads and some of our play was very neat the gulf in class was massive as you would expect.

We were ok in the first ten minutes or so but for most of the first half they looked like they would score everytime they attacked. The second was more even but only really because tevez took a poor penalty and for some bizarre reason Hobbs was allowed to stay on the pitch. Dyer's goal was a classy effort mind you but apart from that effort I don't recall their keeper really being tested.

The worrying thing for me was how often we lost the ball in a 50:50 challenge, our midfield was especially bad at this and our general unwillingness to put in a challenge. Abe's "tackle" for the first goal was pathetic and I thought Oakley? had a chance to tackle Tevez? in the breakaway for the fourth goal, ok he may have conceded a free kick in doing so but sometimes I just think we need to be dirtier and more physical.

Our forward line is a worry. Ok Yak couldn't play and Vassell was injured but without them we don't seem to really have any back up and in the first half we just didn't have an outball to Howard due to his general lack of mobility.

Still it was interesting to see us up against quality and fair play to them for treating the competition and us seriously and putting out a strong team against us. Over the two games I thought we played pretty well but the gap between the championship and the premiership is one I'm not sure we are ready to embrace with our current squad.

Fvck right off Adam Johnson, "should and could easily have been 4-0 really".

Should it? Well it wasn't, twat.

bull anyway - their fourth was offside and we had two very good cases for a penalty in the second half.

You can argue that our first wasn't a penalty - well it looked like there was contact, enough to take dyer down? possibly, when you're running at speed the slightest contact can take you down.

Also our second - possibly offside but it was just dyer leaning foward that made him offside, very tight one and easy for the lino to miss.

Not a chance, they've been plummeting down the league and waghorn won't change that - like moussa he could be a good player for us some day but at the moment he's not there.

Good performance by Leicester and gave Man City a right run for there "money". Weale, Dyer, Bamba impressed for me last night but the likes of Tevez, Jinky Johnson, Silva and there counter attacking was unbelievable to watch. Leicester can take a lot of positives out of this game and hope they can push to make a play off spot.

Nice to see a few old faces aswell (C-man, Jamie, Andy etc)

errrr ok then :/ clearly didnt sit near city fans then

I did acctually, and couldn't hear a thing! They call man united but if we played them last night they would have filled old trafford! All that money maybe the owners should buy new fans! We were awosame last night! Loved it!
