RGFox Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Was i right in hearing the City Fans (Leicester oviously) singing .... "You're just a sh*t Man United" ???? Quality atmosphere from the Leicester fans
somebum Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Come Saturday, back to planet earth for City. Another decent performance followed up by loss/draw. Don't get your hopes up.
Jon the Hat Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Well done Leicester - i predicted a 3-2 defeat so not far out but we were not outclassed by a side that dont forget probably cost around 10 times what our entire squad cost to buy. Up the Foxes now come on for that play off push :sge: Ten times??? Silva or Tevez alone cost that.
gazfox9 Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Oh fooking Robbie Savage can just go **** himself "the goalkeeper had chocolate fingers - should have saved that" **** OFF YOU BITTER JEALOUS TWAT! Yes we don't want you so **** OFF! DAMMIT can I not swear anymore Agree, total arse aint he. The sooner he sods off to america the better. His punditry is about on par with his football.
Jon the Hat Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Awesome effort. They took their foot off the gas a little.
Jackirius Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Not forgetting our 'soft' peno, Hobbs getting away with a red card and Lloyds 'offside' goal, of course? I'm aware of the soft peno and the offside goal, Hobbs did not get away with a red card though, it was a yellow at worst. Was the Toure lunge on Dyer bad or not, i missed the replay.
Koke Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 What I learned from this game: - We shouldn't play this ridiculously high defensive line against quality opposition. - Waghorn should get more playing time - David Silva is so much better than I believed. Most of Man City's creativity comes from him. When he got subbed, you could see the difference.
StanSP Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 All I'm feeling is pride at the moment. What's done is done. We can hold our heads high that we matched Man City in the first match and gave it one hell of a good fight in the 2nd match!
Corky Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 What did savage say? Mainly his "I don't want to see red cards" while bleating on several times about how Hobbs should've gone.
Master Fox Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Win the next 3 games. That is all. We did okay tonight.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Mainly his "I don't want to see red cards" while bleating on several times about how Hobbs should've gone.
Guest ttfn Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Once again, I don't think Waghorn was anywhere near as good as everyone else here seems to think. Slammed a useless free kick into the wall and took one good corner. Otherwise, showed a better first touch than usual and ran about, but you'd think he completely changed the game by the way some people are talking. If we're playing 1 up front, there's no way he's going to get a game in front of Yakubu and Vassell. It would do him better to be on loan.
AmyLGK Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Agree, total arse aint he. The sooner he sods off to america the better. His punditry is about on par with his football. I honestly hate him - he's so bloody smug! What the hell does he have to be smug about! Even his golden locks are shit and greasy!
Webbo Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Can someone tell me why Waghorn is getting this bumming? I barely noticed him when he came on.
Corky Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 We missed Vassell tonight, he stretched the Man City backline in the first game and I'm sure they were relieved he wasn't playing.
Ricey Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Can someone tell me why Waghorn is getting this bumming? I barely noticed him when he came on. Mainly the contrast between him and Howard, Waghorn did more in 10 mins of being on than Howard did the whole time he was on. Chased down, held the ball up and won the ball. He wasn't outstanding, but enough to prove he is worthy of at least being on the bench and at last our 3rd best striker.
Jackirius Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 This picture from Ferdinand's twitter sums Savage up... http://plixi.com/p/69978561
Kitchandro Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Not forgetting our 'soft' peno, Hobbs getting away with a red card and Lloyds 'offside' goal, of course? The penalty was pretty plain as a pike staff. Don't know how you can argue with it.
dbtcity Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Probably been said on all the previous pages but il say it anyway.... Get Oakley and Howard to f*#k and keep waggy!!! On another note so proud of the boys tonight I think if Gally and wellens had stayed on we would have atleast took it to extra time... I didn't think Gally brought a great deal to the plate deffensively/ positionally but as soon as he came off we looked all over the place
RizLCFC Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Well done to the lads they did really well especially without Vassell and Yakubu, and then losing Gallagher and Wellens to injury. Bit disappointed with Kingy but not going to slate him tonight. I can reiterate for the millionth time we need to get rid of Oakley and Howard, they have their odd decent performance when Oakley makes a couple of crunching tackles and Howard flicks it on for King to score but they really don't offer anything. I'm sick of hearing about Howards presence in the box, Yakubu and Vassell are both shortish and quick and they win headers and cause headaches for defences thy're a presence. If Howard had that nack of putting it in the back of the net then I would happily have him in the side but he's just like playing a holding midfielder but in strike. If we're going to get into the play offs and promoted then we need to sign a better striker who when he comes on can be an attacking threat. When one of our strikers has to come off and we bring Howard on, we change the whole way that we are playing and start lumping it up to him. Also, when Abe, Wellens or King has a stinker, get injured or they;re tired we can't be bringing Oakley on because he just defends, we need a midfielder and that's why I'm hoping we sign the lad Johnson from Man City. Moussa and N'Guessan are still young and I feel if Sven sits down with them and tells them to put the effort in and your still in my plans they would come good even as impact subs. Thought Hobbs looked shaky tonight, and it's not the first time. Some blamed him for the Preston equaliser aswell, no doubt he has bags of quality but I feel we could do with another centre back especially as Vitor is injured and Tunchev is on his last legs. Overall, tonight well done City you made me proud great effort!!!!!!!!!!
sdb Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Can someone tell me why Waghorn is getting this bumming? I barely noticed him when he came on. held the ball up, distributed it well and moved about, therefore giving their centre backs something to do for a change. he wasn't a world-beater, but a distinct improvement on what was there before.
LoughboroughFox Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Lilly savage about sucked mancinis cock! macmanatwat needs a hair cut! scouse willy puller! ps our fans were fcuking awesome!
