Can't we just wait and see if he does achieve 'legendary' status?

If he gets us promoted, considering where we were when he took over, he'll go SOME WAY to becoming a great.

O'Neill got us promoted, got us silver-ware and even got us in to Europe.

When Sven does that, he'll be as good as O'Neill.

I voted for matt gillies. He made us the arsenal of the 60's (ie, never won much, but always in contention).

As for sven, he has a long way to go yet, however , promotion in his first season would be a huge step.

Wouldn't say Megson was one of our worst managers as he didn't lose most of his games and was only here for 9 games.

NO!!! I want to know now, this is make or break.

Pfft. I like a little bit of anticipation and intrigue to be left in life :D

Depends if you rate "worst manager" purely in results on the pitch. I voted for Megson BECAUSE of the fact that he left after 9 games - results don't come into as he didn't have enough time to effect them greatly because it was outside of the transfer window.

Mind you, it looks like I'm the only one of this thinking

Why would Sven be a choice? He's not done anything yet.

And there's surely only 2 Leicester managers that can be labelled as the best, only Gillies and O'Neill won a major trophy.

And the poll doesn't really relate to the title of the thread.

Sven can be a legend if he stays long enough, and O'Neill is the best manager we've had. Sousa is the worst, but he wasn't here long enough to ruin the Club like Taylor did. So Taylor it is.

sven will go onto be the best ever manager we have/had, but he got lots to live up to of the o'neill years.. but IN SVEN WE TRUST........

good to see taylor who got my vote is way out in front what a C**t that bloke is

I voted Sven-Göran because I think he is the best of the recent Leicester manager. I know too little about the great managers of the past.

I think he is a head above MON. MON would be suitable at a role similar to Faz with Sven. :D

I can't think of many managers capable of handling players from different cultures as Sven and in todays football it's an importent criteria.

I'd like to see how well Sven would've done with the same backing that Pearson had. I'm sure that'd be an interesting comparison with where we are now.

I would have loved to see that. He would have made stars of a few academy products. In that situation the moaners would have complained why Sven let Schlupp play instead of Waghorn.......

Peter Taylor completely ruined everything O'Neill did. The man fooked us right up! How anyone can vote for a different manager is beyond me!

I take it you don't remember Frank McLintock?

Spot on again StanSP - Sven is damn good dont get me wrong but has a bit to go to catch up with O'God

I don't have this hatred of Peter Taylor that most City fans(quite rationally and rightly) do. His appointment seemed like a good idea at the time - he was young, seemingly talented, and liked playing the game on the ground. At least it appeared like we were trying to move in right direction, even if all ended badly.

Appointing Bassett however, felt like we were admitting defeat. We all knew he was a shit manager and so it proved.

Yes, Taylor screwed up, but for me Bassett sybolised our club's decline. So Bassett it is for me.

McLintock was way worse than Sousa

The McLintock season is the worst ever, 6 games no shots, 26 goals scored all season.

Peter Taylor single handedly destroyed everyhthing MON had created in the space of a few months and none of it was ever his fault! Complete TWAT should never manage again, unlucky Bradford!!

I don't understand this thread.

Can Sven obtain legendary status? Yes anything is possible, Sousa could have obtained it if he wasn't shit, Mad Dog Allen could have obtained if he wasn't mental, Holloway could have obtained if he had kept us up and turned our fortunes around.

In 10 years time we could be discussing Sven the legend who finally brought the FA cup to Leicester, or Sven the muppet who brought on Oakley and Howard for King and Yakubu on 80 miinutes in the 2011 Playoff final while 2-1 up and dominating Forest. Oakley contrives to give away a penalty in the last minute, Howard then misses a sitter in extra time, and then ****s up his spot kick in penalties. Ricardo, brought on for penalties also fails to get near any of them and we lose. Naughton, Yakubu, Mee, Vitor, PVA, all go back to their parent clubs, Hobbs, Berner and Waghorn go looking for first team football. King and Wellens get signed by premiership clubs and we fall into a downward spiral culminating in a desperate MON, with Steve Walsh as his assitant leading us to the conference thus pissing all over their legendary status, and everyone born in Leicester being refused entry to Thailand for bankrupting one of their leading businesses.

I mean who knows what would have happened with MON had he not brought on Kalac and Claridge hadn't shinned it in.
