AoWW Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 A simple childish play on the name of probably my fave band of the last 15 years and also the name of my imaginary tribute band to same. It seemed like a good idea at the time (and probably still is) but it had never occurred to me that people would cheerily greet me as 'Bellend' when meeting other FTers. That's not great planning I've heard many people struggle with trying to pronounce AoWW when they've met me.

I'll start off, Jackirius - My name is Jack and I've always used to be called Jackirius by a mate, going way back to primary school, and it just caught on, nobody calls me it anymore but it is just an easy name to remember for usernames etc. What's yours ... The Padster Posted 17 February 2011 Posted 17 February 2011 My name is Patrick (Paddy) and I'd watched the "Wolfster" episode of Max & Paddy the night before I signed up here, so it was fresh in my mind and I came up with my own "ster" name. I was thinking of doing The Padsterster to see if anybody got the reference from that episode but it looked weird so didn't bother.

shen Posted 18 February 2011 Posted 18 February 2011 Shortened version of a former username (shenghe) I used in an old browser-based game. Has no reference to anything, completely made up, but I found it simple and it was easy for others to spell and remember, hence why it stuck.
