Floridafox Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 What we've learned following this weekend's results is - that under Sven we can play poorly but win - that Waghorn has a vital part to play in the run-in - that Abe is due for a return - that QPR will fill one of the automatic spots (despite the draw at Preston), their substantial goal difference worth a point alone - that we still don't know which of the play-off candidates we will replace What else?
Liamlcfc1 Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 That Leicester City are the BEST All Hail King Sven :sge:

ScouseFox Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Waghorn's got a right foot. Never knew that.

Kilworthfox Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 I'd suggest that we found out this weekend that: We can play below par against an average championship side at home and scrape a win with a bounce in our favour! We must continue to attempt to dominate the midfield initially then stand & contain on the 18 yard line (if they can create a decent passage of passing possession) to be most effective in defence. Ricardo has some positive attributes but is not as steady as Weale. Sol Bamba can be a colossal figure, but can also trip over the ball on the halfway line, when No-one is within 10 yards of him. Yak won't chase down defenders. This weeks tackling & putting yourself about training continues to show no positive effect on Paul Ghallager's game. Van Anholt is still not the new Ashley Cole. Wellans can have a poor game but we can still win. Sven continues to make huge progress with the club he took over!!! Taking all of the above into account.. We are a very good side & are very difficult to beat!
STUHILL Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 We will have to play better than that to keep our winning run going!! I'm hoping we come out and destroy Cardiff which we are capable of doing but equally they can do to us if we don't play the way we can. We will need our midfield 3 to step it up if we want to win. Big game needed by Wellens! This week I have learnt that I am really starting to believe a playoff place is ours for the taking!!! If we step it up another gear though, then even 2nd is possible but that is really a tall order!! Cardiff is a HUGE game for us and I have a feeling we are going to be up for it and win!!
ajthefox Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Waghorn's got a right foot. Never knew that. This more than anything!
samjohnson Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 - We need to get rid of Oakley and replace him with Abe - We need to start Waghorn more - Sven is, in fact, God.
cc_star Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Wellens needs to follow Abe into having a week off Abe has had his, Wellens looks like Abe did a couple of games ago - sadly we can't afford to rest him against the higher quality opposition we're about to face.

Lisburn Fox Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 We need to learn how to play under pressure from battling teams, we will not be allowed to play the type of football we want all the time!!
Jakemoore Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 That Matt Oakleys head is more useful than his feet. (sorry if someone's said this, can't be bothered to read everything)

MikeyT Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 Both Abe and Weale should be recalled to the starting line up.
Jakemoore Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 and his shoulder Wasn't sure where it hit but the point remains.

That Mr Flappy is not good enough to wear a Leicester City Shirt.. That if the midfield trio fail to turn up again, as they did against Bristol City, we will get buried. That its not to hard to knock us out of our passing game. That we can win despite our weaknesses. That incentives at the turnstyles bring bumper crowds. WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!! WE WANTWEALE!!!!!
Legend_in_blue Posted 20 February 2011 Posted 20 February 2011 We learnt, and continue to learn, that the similarities between our team now and the team we had under MON, are very much based around one thing. A manager who is a winner. Despite what may be thrown at him, Sven has shown he has that winning instinct and a slice of good luck when it's due. MON was exactly the same.

Guest Bilo Posted 21 February 2011 Posted 21 February 2011 that the stadium announcer can't tell the difference between the Yak and Bamba Housemate had a fiver on Yak to score first and ripped up his slip after Bamba was announced as scorer. Language was a bit choice when we watched the highlights back on SSN.

It was quite obvious that Sol, as good as he is... could not beat their number 7, cross the ball in & tap in David James touch.
