Regardless of tomorrow's result we will probably need 74 pts

Thats 22 pts from 11 games.

So our destiny is in our own hands.

No, it's not.

Can't go due to currently in Spain until Wednesday. Statistics show that whenever i miss a home game, we win. So :fc: this will continue tomorrow. :)

It won't make it impossible but I feel we'll really struggle to get back to the form of a couple weeks ago if we don't win.

NOt the be all of the season.

If we lose today we could end up winning all the other games for the rest of the season!!!

Also the opposite could happen!

No more than just another 3 points at stake.

We'll see by the end of the month if we got owt to play for or if the season is over!

Up the shitty!

Its never OVER till its mathematically over, but we have to agree that every game we draw or worse lose the gap will widen that much more and then to keep hoping 'Oh well now we just have to win the rest of our 10, 9, 8 matches..' will look increasingly difficult! 3 points really NEEDED, but if others around us lose (unlikely) then may be we can take a draw (?) and then hope that the 'winning run' starts after this game..and then may be after the next game!..Bloody its gotta start sometime soon if we want to keep destiny in our own hands by the time we reach the last 2-3 games!

We need to go on a tremendous run between now and the end of the season and we still have to hope other teams trip up a bit so its a tall order - heres hoping :please::fc: :city: lets face it if we go up it will be a :jawdrop: ing moment and we will be thanking our :sweden: manager and blowing our :trumpet: far and loud. i hope :fc: with all my heart  that we are all :bounce::banana::bounce::banana: cheering and dancing come the end of the season but i doubt it . . . . . . . :surrender:

Well, it pretty much is....

It's not as other teams can currently amass more points than us come the end of the season. So we are relying on them dropping points, but we need to do our part and gain every point going.

To reply to the OP, it aint over until it's mathematically certain.

Sven-Goran Eriksson says tonight's clash with promotion rivals Norwich City is the 'biggest' of his tenure as Leicester City manager.

City face the Canaries at the Walkers Stadium knowing that anything less than a victory would leave them with a mountain to climb to reach the play-offs.

City are five points away from the top six after picking up just one point from their last three games.

After defeats at fellow-promotion hopefuls Cardiff City and league leaders Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, Eriksson said tonight's visit of fourth-placed Norwich had taken on even greater significance.

"It is an extremely important game now, probably the biggest since I came here," he said.

1x1.GIF"One point from three games is not good enough with the ambitions we have.

"We have to change that and the good thing is there are still 11 games to go. But we have to start to take points or it will be very difficult to try and get promoted this season.

"We want to do everything to win because we need three points desperately."

Despite the results, Eriksson feels his side are getting back to the form they produced during their eight-game unbeaten run, and is confident the goals will start to flow again.

"I thought Saturday's performance was one of our best for a long time, but we lost," he said.

"Two weeks ago we had several wins, but I thought we played better this week than in many of the games we won.

"Not scoring is a big concern, but we created chances and hopefully they will start going in. The goals will come. I would be more concerned if we didn't create chances.

City will again be without injured duo Patrick van Aanholt (thigh) and Steve Howard (ankle).

Eriksson also confessed he is considering sticking with the narrow 4-4-2 system he employed at Loftus Road, which could mean Paul Gallagher would again be on the bench.

"At least we know if we do it will work," he said. "It worked very well against QPR.

"We have full-backs who can get forward very well away, and at home even more, so width is not a concern."

If we lose tonight, this place is going to be fvcking unbearable. I'm 99% sure some people on here would contemplate suicide if we get a negative result tonight judging by the recent upturn in stupidity around these parts.

I'm going to leave for a week if that happens.

Exactly, 8 wins in 11 games. We can afford 3 deafeats whether its the next 3, last 3 or any 3 it doesn't matter - Any 8 wins will do it, if we don't get them, then we're out.

The reaction by many following the fantastic performance at the weekend was a bit annoying.

Does anyone know if I can get tickets for this today using the 2 for £20 tickets the sub was doing? I've got vouchers but forgot to go get the tickets. Only other game available is v Pompey and I can't make that one.

What time does ticket office shut on match day?

Phew, managed to leg it home at lunch, I didnt realise ticket office was open till kick off, oh well. Just got to hand over my coupons and get my tickets outside the office. Great stuff, two adults for £19.50! Come on City, let's make it a corker tonight!

I think we need more than 74 points, unless Leeds (who are most likely to miss out) drop a few more points where they shouldnt.

Though I'd take 74 right now, but in reality, I think we will just scrape over the 70 mark which isnt good enough.

Agreed. This is the most unpredictable league in years so I dont think it would be a surprise to see 6th place in excess of 76 points. Then again it coudl also be below 70!
