You're right guvna. Lampsy it is.

Although it's so far off the actual team it makes no difference!

I would choose Ben Foster over the other two. He makes less mistakes than Green and Hart's concentration levels in the game can be poor.

Scott Carson would be best, though

Ben Foster is awful. He makes tons of mistakes. He's a decent shot stopper but that's all. Crap on crosses, awful when coming out for anything. Did you see him on Saturday against Wigan? I think Birmingham would have done better without a keeper!

I'm very happy with Jarvis. I've been impressed with him for a while now.

He can use both feet and play on either side of midfield.

I'd sooner see Danny Welbeck get promoted from the U-21s than see Peter Crouch in an England shirt, and why Capello hasn't seemed to consider the likes of Liam Ridgwell / Roger Johnson over Lescott shows his reluctance to drop a few 'big' names. Same applies to Barry.

Pleased for Jarvis, though, banged him in an 'Alternate England XI' I did on here a fair while back now, well deserved.

FYI...

Peter Crouch has scored 22 goals for England in his 42 matches played to date.

He's been on the pitch for 2,187 minutes which gives him a strike-rate of a goal for every 99 minutes played.

By comparison, Wayne Rooney has scored 26 goals for England in his 69 matches played to date.

He's been on the pitch for 5,052 minutes which gives him a strike-rate of a goal for every 194 minutes played.

Now which one of the two is generally considered to be "World Class"?

Haha and, yet again, Crouch's strike ratio comes to the fore. It's impressive, no doubt, but you're a moron if you'd sooner have Crouch over Rooney, unless you believe that stats paint the whole picture of things.

If I'm ever playing a country with a population fewer than Leicester, I'd fancy Crouch to bag. I doubt that many of those goals have come against the better sides in the world, which is surely the definition of someone's talent? If they can prove it against half decent opposition?

Crouch is ruthless against the weak but utter dogshite against anyone with a remotely apparent backline, and, in my opinion, there are better options available than someone who is used sparingly by Spurs, who misses far more many chances than he actually nets. He encourages the long ball game, something that England have to distance themselves from if they even want to compete with the elite sides in international football, all of whom have an 'on the deck' philosphy.

I've rarely seen an England performance that has blown me away with Crouch at the fore of the attack.

So how come Peter Crouch has 7 goals and 3 assists in the Champions League this season, making him one of the most lethal strikers in the competition?

His 9 goals and 12 assists in all competitions this season for Spurs means he's made a vital goal contribution on average for every 104 minutes he's been on the pitch.

Oh... and the reason Crouch hasn't scored more goals for England against better quality opposition is down to the simple fact that he's rarely picked to play in those matches.

Remember the World Cup Finals in South Africa when England were desperate for goals against Germany?

Who did Capello bring on?

Emile bloody Heskey!

Id also go for foster over hart. Foster is underrated and hart the opposite- purely because of who they play for. Both can be prone to mistakes, but every england keeper has, since I can remember!

Im a fan of crouch, not just with his scoring record but also with his attitude. Contrast that to rooney. Rooney is good-note im avoiding the phrase 'world class' but right now rooney is englands answer to yakubu. Playing on the off chance that he'll do something miraculous

Have you already managed to forget Foster's constant blunders toward the end of his time at Utd? There's a reason they are both at their respective clubs. Foster is a very good keeper, but thrives off playing for the underdog and he cant hack it at the very top level.

I can seem to find any highlights program on any of the free to air channels.

Someone tell me I'm wrong.

It's an away game so it's on Sky. Just look for a stream instead Trav.

Yeah, but don't usually BBC or ITV get at least a highlights package? And what about if I'm Welsh in Wales? Not an away game then. Is it on BBC Cymru? I thought there was government legislation to stop this kind of thing with "important" sport events.

Sky have the rights to Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland I think. Hence why the game is on Sky. It's bullshit I know.

Well what I can work out from this thread is there is someone to hate pretty much every England player. That's not like Leicester fans now is it! lol
