samjohnson Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 From what i can understand from the description above, ive made these 2 renders quickly to give an idea of what it might look like: Image 1 Image 2
Bert Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 My father in law went to the ground to day to view some new seats as we are moving position next season, I told him to ask about the screens and they said apparently they are going up on the section where the banners are around the top of the ground initially above the restaurant bit & directly opposite, they may even be up 'temporarily' in time for the boro game with a view to people being able to comment on the position/visibility of them & then fixed permanently next season. I honestly can't believe anyone could view this as anything but a good thing? If you read back, I've already said this.
m00nie Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 you should have done the back view also.. will look sometihg like this (obviously not up to your skills )
samjohnson Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 Ive been busy again!! The renders if there is a screen in the NE corner: SIT! From the west... From the east
Wymsey Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 It would look best in the Fosse Boys corner than the other corners. On the corner where Fusions is, it would block the view of the restaurant, whereas at the away end, there could be problems, ie. their fans throwing objects at it. (If they're that daft) It wouldn't be suitable if it was placed in the corner where the police office area is either.
MattyFromLE Posted 28 March 2011 Posted 28 March 2011 Ive been busy again!! The renders if there is a screen in the NE corner: SIT! From the west... From the east They look wicked!

ajthefox Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Ive been busy again!! The renders if there is a screen in the NE corner: SIT! From the west... From the east Good work on the renders mate they're quality!! What did you use for them?? I have to say on a general level it amuses me how so many think we should just whack it in front of the away fans. Away fans should be considered in this, because I guarantee if it was another team that just ignored the away experience, blocked the view and plonked the video screen in front of the away fans there would be repercussions, most notably that when it came to us, half of the fans would come on here with their panties in a twist about how shite that particular ground is.
Lester LXXIV Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Looks like there's gonna be 4 according to the Merc!

Family Stand and West Stand is one corner, East Stand and the Kop is the second corner.

Family Stand and West Stand is one corner, East Stand and the Kop is the second corner. think he probably read that as meaning two in the Family stand and west stand corner, then two more in the corner of east stand and kop.
Southern Fox Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 Im in and out of the Walkers tomorrow, Thursday and Friday I will let you know if there any any signs of development and put a picture on here if there is
samjohnson Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 If theyre making them permenant, that could mean that theyre not planning on expanding for a little while...?
evs_the_fox Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 If theyre making them permenant, that could mean that theyre not planning on expanding for a little while...? Hopefully. We don't need the ground expanding at all right now.
Babylon Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 If theyre making them permenant, that could mean that theyre not planning on expanding for a little while...? They aren't planning on expanding until we are an established premier league side.
Podge Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 We're getting one of these Unless we copy this exactly isn't worth our while I say. 1080p and the length of the pitch. I say why not

The Doctor Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 I just knew after i'd seen you had replied to this thread it would be 'no' or 'nil'. well at least my replies are consistant.
Matt Posted 29 March 2011 Posted 29 March 2011 What are the chances of the big screens showing the grand national at half time next saturday Yeah could do with that, I've not seen a grand national run for a good 3 or 4 years due to being at Leicester games either being home or away, don't get me wrong probably rather be watching Leicester but agree with your statement.
davieG Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 Merc Meanwhile, chief executive Lee Hoos said the new big TV screens, which are being installed in the Walkers Stadium ahead of the next home game against Burnley, are just a part of plans to improve the match-day experience at the ground.Hoos said discussions are under way over a variety of improvements at the Walkers, including a possible swipe-card system for season-ticket holders and an LED advertising hoarding, as seen at many of the top grounds in the country. "There is a lot going on," he said. "Everyone knows about the big screens we will be putting up. They will become a permanent fixture which will enhance the atmosphere around the stadium. "We want to look closely at the Family Stand too and make it a true Family Stand. "An access control system is something we are looking at, as are LED advertising hoardings. We are looking at everything we can do to maximise the experience for fans and sponsors. "It is about creating a unique experience. I can't influence what happens on the pitch besides helping Sven bring in the players we need, but there are things around the ground we really can do to enhance the fans' experience. "We want to make sure our season-ticket holders get value because they are the prime movers behind the club. "As Top put it so eloquently last week, the fans and the season-ticket holders in particular are the heart of the club." Mr Hoos, feel free to do whatever you feel is necessary to maximise advertising revenues but please don't say that things like LED advertising hoardings will maximise the experience for this fan or enhance the value of my ST and it's hardly unique now is it? Please don't patronise me!

Please don't patronise me! I'd hate it if we got LED ad-hoardings, they are very distracting and a perfect symbolisation of what football is becoming.
Raj Posted 30 March 2011 Posted 30 March 2011 Kerching Kerching is what its all about. Personally speaking i cant see why so many folk are so excited about a fcuking screen at the ground? You goto Fotty to watch live footy and support your team not watch a bloody screen!!! Its all Americanism showboating shite....IN MY OPINION!!!
