Guest Basildon Fox Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 so WHY didnt Sven come out and Reject the Bamba offers too. this was his opportunity... I am not sure, although both Everton and Villa are supposed to want him. If he was part of the deal to bring either to Leicester permanently then it would seem a good bit of business to me.
hackneyfox Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Perhaps there hasn't been an offer. Perhaps it's all just paper talk. Shock horror
ScouseFox Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 so WHY didnt Sven come out and Reject the Bamba offers too. this was his opportunity... We don't know the ins and outs of it, but from what I've read, it seems Derby have actually made a bid, whereas anything about Bamba is speculation, thus Sven has rejected a bid, but ignored any paper talk?
Braunyfox Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Waghorn has moved out of his house, I deliver his post. Thought it was worth mention
MPH Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Perhaps there hasn't been an offer. Perhaps it's all just paper talk. Shock horror We don't know the ins and outs of it, but from what I've read, it seems Derby have actually made a bid, whereas anything about Bamba is speculation, thus Sven has rejected a bid, but ignored any paper talk? Sven has always come out and rejected speculation about a player he wants to keep. Wether its just paper talk or a genuine offer is irrelevant, its still his platform and opportunity to publicly declare he wants to keep a player.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 20 May 2011 Posted 20 May 2011 Really hope he stays. He will come good. Give him a chance!
Happy Fox Posted 10 July 2011 Author Posted 10 July 2011 http://www.clicklancashire.com/sport/blackpool-fc/129919-blackpool-fc-linked-with-young-leicester-city-forward.html Blackpool have been linked with a move for out-of-favour Leicester City forward Martyn Waghorn. The 21-year-old has failed to win a regular place in the Foxes side since Sven-Göran Eriksson took over as boss last year and could be on his way out of the Walkers Stadium. A hamstring injury sustained in April sidelined the former Sunderland trainee for the remainder of last season, which yielded a disappointing tally of 4 goals. The young front-man has proved he can find the net though - notching 12 goals in 43 appearances for the Foxes during a season-long loan spell in 2009-2010 which prompted the club to sign him permanently for a fee in the region of £3million.
Guest Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I'm pretty sure he's in the Sweden squad so I don't see him going anywhere. Probably our No.2/3 striker at the moment.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Waghorn has moved out of his house, I deliver his post. Thought it was worth mention WAGHORN IN SHOCK MOVE HORROR! Maybe he rented it last year, and has now bought a place?
Coolcurt15lcfc Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I would like to see waggy next to David nugent keep him he is a key piece of our puzzle
dannythefox Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 If we don't get another 15-20 striker Sven will have to play him its not like Howards going to get a look in this season is he. A fully fit and high on confidence Waggy can do a good job at this level anyway we could do a lot worse. Always gives 100% and he's a workhorse.
Haydos Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I would like to see waggy next to David nugent keep him he is a key piece of our puzzle Plus he runs around loads which is what we need
Happy Fox Posted 11 July 2011 Author Posted 11 July 2011 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Blackpool-line-up-loan-Newcastle-Nile-Ranger-1m-free-transfer-Birmingham-Barry-Ferguson-Leicester-striker-Martyn-Waghorn-for-1million-article764520.html Ian Holloway wants to beef up his Blackpool strikeforce by launching a double raid for Nile Ranger and Martyn Waghorn. The Seasiders boss have already landed veteran Kevin Phillips as they prepare to sell DJ Campbell. And Holloway wants to use the funds available from Campbell's imminent Premier League return to sign Newcastle's Ranger and Leicester outcast Waghorn. Ranger, who penned a five-year contract extension at St James" Park just last year, has been given the green light to make a loan move to Bloomfield Road. Waghorn is surplus to requirements at big-spending Leicester and has opened talks over a £1million switch. Blackpool, who are rebuilding after losing a host of key players following their relegation, also want Scotland midfielder Barry Ferguson to follow Birmingham team-mate Phillips up the M6. Ferguson, 33, could make a surprise free transfer move as Blues look to slash their wage bill now they are in the Championship. I cannot see Waggy going for 1m
Wymsey Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I would give him another chance if I were Sven, his goal against Bristol springs into mind.
Bugg Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 I would give him another chance if I were Sven, his goal against Bristol springs into mind. OMG HE SCORED A GOAL LETS GIVE HIM A NEW 8 YEAR DEAL
Mickey O'Neil Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 OMG HE SCORED A GOAL LETS GIVE HIM A NEW 8 YEAR DEAL No need for sarcasm.
Carlos9 Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 OMG HE SCORED A GOAL LETS GIVE HIM A NEW 8 YEAR DEAL It's funny how quick people turn on players. When we was fighting to sign him last season everyone loved the guy ! He's young and has bags of potential.
ScoutMan Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Blackpool link http://www.clicklancashire.com/sport/blackpool-fc/129919-blackpool-fc-linked-with-young-leicester-city-forward.html
Bugg Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 It's funny how quick people turn on players. When we was fighting to sign him last season everyone loved the guy ! He's young and has bags of potential. And it's also funny how people see no fault in a player because of his debut season. I loved him when he was performing last year, but he wasn't this year. Same applies with Weale and his ability to remain golden boy despite being completely fooking awful
nickelbyfox Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I think it is a bit of a step backwards if we sell Waghorn, we are building a squad and he would be a great squad player pushing for first team action. However he may know this and thats why he may be pushing for a transfer, for first team football! I think it is hard for anyone to argue his worth to a team, so even tho i am not the greatest fan would love him to stay as he has a future!
joel Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I would like to see waggy next to David nugent keep him he is a key piece of our puzzle Your right that would be a good striking force scarf
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I would like to see Waggy actually given a decent run in the first team for a change and not just off the bench. 6-7 games in the starting 11 with a strike partner to see what he can do.
Buck1983 Posted 12 July 2011 Posted 12 July 2011 I would like to see Waggy actually given a decent run in the first team for a change and not just off the bench. 6-7 games in the starting 11 with a strike partner to see what he can do. I like waghorn, he is rooney-esk, strong, quick, good footballing brain, however, waghorn Is not a potent goal scorer. Nobody will get a run of 6-7 games if they don't perform this season such is the stregnth of the squad, but if players perform I think we will pretty much see the same starting 11 for the whole season.
