Hack Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 New bid went in yesterday so I'm told Any idea what the bid was?
hackneyfox Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 Haha, you're right! Me too. I fookin hate them, i'd take us finishing 2nd instead of champions if it could be guaranteed that we beat them 9-0 next saturday. They are expecting relegation this season but will ve very happy should they stop us winning next Saturday and will crow about it for ages. Diagonalwalkingcleftheadedwindowlickingtwats
Bezzanator89 Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 Any idea what the bid was? Safe to assume that it was the rumoured £4m + Martyn Waghorn but for now I'll wait for official confirmation.
wurmer Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 New bid went in yesterday so I'm told Bert - any view on this rumour?
Kent Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 Bert - any view on this rumour? Pretty sure he said it was yet to go in.
Shit_arse Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 Hugely optimistic. No bid for Maynard yet, but I'm certain it'll be put in soon.
Bezzanator89 Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 I'd rather see it in writing as a proven published article, rather than hearing the regularly used phrase "So I've been told" or "My friend of a friend of a friend told me". They are as good as Chinese Whispers, things get misinterpreted. When something starts, in this example, an actual fact that we are lining up a £4m bid + Martyn Waghorn gets misconstrued in how people word things, which explains the mismatch of theories going on. "Thinking of lining up a bid" turns into "We are lining up a bid" which turns into "Have lined up a bid", and this is where people can get confused. Speculative media and newspapers don't help with rumours which I swear comes from brainstorming exercises. Twitter? Well all the say is a statement, no explanation, no source, nothing. Even the Fourth Official thing that people go on about all the time, most of the time, they are just simple statements with no source or anything, so I tend to disregard them. Right now in this thread, there are some that say have made a bid, some say that we haven't made a bid, some syaing what we're lining up a bid, it's make your mind up time. What is the progress of this transfer saga? General consensus says that we have NOT made a bid yet according to this week's Leicester Mercury, but until an actual source pops up with further information, I will not believe anything else.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 its like watching a soap opera this thread isnt it? You know boring, predictable yet fascinating at the same time, lovely time to be a City fan though!!!

There's only two to three people who have sources that post here, anything else is simply discussion of their posts or bullsh1t The Mercury & RL tow the club official line so they will always lag actual events.
Scoobyrob Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 Please don't buy Jerome from Birmingham!!!!!! The Brum lads don't rate him and were desperate for him to go to Stoke. If we sign him I won't be able to show my face at work. I'd rather play Howard.... Or anyone else

simpmeister Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 I have a feeling this will all be resolved fairly soon
Darkon84 Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 we could also play that goal machine the Kerminator Better than Cameron Jerome
Bezzanator89 Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 we could also play that goal machine the Kerminator Nearly choked on my work lunch sandwich reading that.
Scoobyrob Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 we could also play that goal machine the Kerminator There's a line mate and think Kermit is too far!

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 I have a feeling this will all be resolved fairly soon i hope youre right though
simpmeister Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 i hope youre right though A positive attitude is the key my friend If worst comes to worst, we could always snap up Akinbiyi or Trevor Benjamin on a fee
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 A positive attitude is the key my friend If worst comes to worst, we could always snap up Akinbiyi or Trevor Benjamin on a fee we dont need them as i keep telling people, we have the Kerminator up our sleeves
DorsetFox9 Posted 28 July 2011 Posted 28 July 2011 hate to say it but these Waghorn + £4m rumours have been around for a while now, most of this Maynard speculation has either come from a Evening Post, or Liam on Twitter, which i think we all know by now is Bull**** when it comes to signings. Even if this is ture, if i was Bristol i would rather have £5m than £4m and Waggy. they have got plenty of strikers, but lack at the back. and Waghorn would still get a valuation which would still mean they owe Crewe more money.
