bluearmyfox23 Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I personally can see this being accapted the last 3 others they rejected straight away he's not signing a contarct and they are starting to realise they could actually lose him for 2m in January ! So I think they will cash in
CupidStunt Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Is this in relation to this post or have you heard anything different Posted Today, 07:32 AM It is not really a twitter rumour http://www.skysports...2,16620,00.html Chris Dean (Leeds United) says... Robbie Keane to Leicester - season long loan or permanent. This comes from a mate who is a therapist/masseur at the club, he's been having talks, looks nailed on. Rate this:Definite (22)Maybe (29)Never (67) Nah, just didn't want to start a new thread, comes from a mate who has predicted a few signings in the past
tomtom Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Or maybe he didnt want to forfeit his bonuses etc by handing in the request Obviously that as well,.. Whatever the outcome though he hasn't behaved badly , just kept quiet...and it was more a reply at the ignorant post calling him a cock. ;-)
Callabinho Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I wouldn't be at all surprised if on Saturday Maynard debuts....... with Millen attached to his leg.
Babylon Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I think the fact they've not rejected this bid straight away speaks volumes. IF a bid has even gone in, no disrespect but Berts stance has gone from: 9am yesterday "No bid for Maynard yet, but I'm certain it'll be put in soon." 7.40pm yesterday "Striker is close. Think it could well be Maynard. Please don't hold me to it though." Later last night "Just been informed another striker has come about. Not sure who. " 8.30am today "The Maynard bid went in Wednesday, factoid."

Bezzanator89 Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Quoted from the Leicester Mercury.... Eriksson said he was close to adding another striker to his squad.City have had three bids for Bristol City's Nicky Maynard rejected but have not given up on the 24-year-old, and there has been speculation a fourth bid, which includes Martyn Waghorn moving in the other direction, is imminent. However, Eriksson said he had more than one option. Who might that be?

Up until then, they'd not heard much on the matter, just ramblings of what might be.
Dr The Singh Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Today is the day then... Dun Dun DUUUUUUUUUUUUUN Leroy Lita?
Ric Flair Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 I would be amazed if Robbie Keane isn't on our radar. Forget that guff message posted on skysports rumours. I can well imagine that Sven has spoken to Spurs about Townsend and the name of Keane was bought up. The question is who would people rathe rhave, Keane or Maynard?

Liamlcfc1 Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/Sven-close-signing-striker-Leicester-City/story-13033989-detail/story.html Sven-Goran Eriksson says he is close to bringing in a striker as he adds the finishing touches to his promotion-chasing squad.City have confirmed the signing of midfielder Michael Johnson on a season-long loan from Manchester City. That takes Eriksson's total to nine new signings, and the City manager said there could be one or two more arriving in the next couple of weeks. Switzerland midfielder Gelson Fernandes, from French side St Etienne, is believed to be close to becoming the 10th arrival at the King Power Stadium. Eriksson said: "We want two players for every position and we have that with defenders and midfielders now. "We hope to get the same for the strikers, so we hope one or two more will come in." He added: "I hope we are close. There are different targets, but I hope that something will happen." Eriksson says that competition for places will be fierce this season, and he is expecting some players to ask to go out on loan or request transfers because of the lack of opportunities. "It is going to be very tough competition to be in the starting XI all season, especially in terms of the central midfielders now we have Johnson," he said. "But it is the same with the defenders. "It will be very tough. At this moment, if we sign Michael Ball and Aleksandar Tunchev (who are in contract talks with City), we have nine defenders for four places. "If we want to be successful, we have to have more or less two teams. "Of course, when you take in good players, it is more difficult for others to get minutes on the pitch. "Players want to play so, probably, in the next week there will be requests for going out on loan or changing club." Eriksson said he is hopeful Ball will sign a contract. Like Tunchev and Johnson, Ball has experienced two seasons of disruption because of injury but Eriksson said, if they could keep all three fit, they would provide quality. "In Ball, we are talking about another very experienced, very good player," said Eriksson. "If these players, Tunchev, Ball and Johnson, can stay fit, we have got experience and class in abundance. "When we do things like this we are aware of the (injury history) situation. Touch wood, let's hope they don't get anymore injuries." Eriksson said he was close to adding another striker to his squad. City have had three bids for Bristol City's Nicky Maynard rejected but have not given up on the 24-year-old, and there has been speculation a fourth bid, which includes Martyn Waghorn moving in the other direction, is imminent. However, Eriksson said he had more than one option.
Guest Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Sounds like Sven has offered Ball and he hasn't accepted yet. Don't be a greedy daft twat Ball. We're giving you a chance you can always leave at the end of the season.
Darkon84 Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Maybe he's just being professional. Thats a far less interesting way of looking at it
