thybluefox Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Even ignoring the 5Live rumour, LcfcInfoMan wouldn't post anything unless he thought it might happen. Unless he's just on a massive wind up.

LcfcinfoMan Does not have any more inside info than me or you, he trolls the web sites and twitter and puts together what he finds in the way he wants, anybody could do exactly the same thing, lots do. Some people want to be looked on as more than "Just a Leicester city supporter". You just have to take it for what it is guess work. Nothing wrong with that I suppose.

Happy Fox Posted 1 August 2011 Author Posted 1 August 2011 http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/story-13049276-detail/story.html? Sven-Goran Eriksson says he is certain he will sign another striker. But he warned he may not get his man before the season kicks-off on Saturday at Coventry City. • • The manager said Leicester City are chasing several targets and he was very close to landing his man. Bristol City's Nicky Maynard remains one target, despite City already having had three bids for the 24-year-old turned down. Reading's Shane Long and Spurs' Robbie Keane are understood to be possible targets. Eriksson also said North Korea striker Jong Tae Se was on his long list of strikers under consideration. "We are working on different targets and I am not sure if something will happen before next Saturday or not. But sooner or later it will happen," he said. "Jong is one on a long list. I know him. He played for North Korea in the World Cup. He is a good striker but he is only one name on a long, long list." Eriksson is keen to bolster his attacking options, especially as he admits he may choose to play two strikers in a 4-4-2 at times this season. "Sometimes we will play two strikers," he said. "David Nugent can play wide or down the middle, or a second striker. Darius Vassell can do everything up there, so sometimes we will change. "But the system we are going to start with is the system we have used most of the time this season and last. "It normally works very well for us." Eriksson also said that Switzerland midfielder Gelson Fernandez would soon arrive on a season-long loan from Saint Etienne. He added that contracts would be offered to defenders Michael Ball and Aleksandar Tunchev. Ball has already revealed on Twitter that he will sign for City after his trail period. "Gelson, yes, it will be official very soon," said Eriksson. "I am quite sure we will offer them both (Ball and Tunchev) a contract. They have both been very good in pre-season. They are getting better and better so almost for sure it will happen." However, City will not be pursuing their interest in Panathinaikos midfielder Damien Plassis, who has returned after a short trial. "We had him on trial but he went back home rather quickly," said Eriksson.

Simmo86 Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Halelee, if your info is as good as your spelling then Maynard is signing for Leicester!
FoxTrott Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 Fair play to Nicky Maynard's agent, he has milked this transfer (or not) for all the publicity it is worth, though the media have seemingly lost interest. Maximum exposure to NM, whether he moves or not. Just wish they would put us out of our misery, one way or the other.

MC Prussian Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 You can listen bk to radio 5 live for the whole of sunday nights programes on there official web page and there is no i say NO interview or live phone in or any Nicky Maynard interview its another rubbish rumour if you dont belive that phone the programe editor of radio 5 live who will confirm this as just a rumour and that there was no such mention of Nicky Maynard on the Sunday programe on Radio 5 Live. This rumour only came about after i posted up the facts of what i was told is happening with reguards to Nicky Maynard & him signing a new 3 year deal with Bristol City. Like it or lump it or just wait and look at Bristol City official site this Sat and all will be revealed. Yet again if you want facts about your Radio 5 Sorce phone the Radio 5 editor or listen to the sunday programe again on there main site facts are there that there is no mention of Nicky Maynard on the entire Sunday night broadcast... I think the more this drags on the more desperate you'll look trying to convince us that Maynard isn't going nowhere. If he didn't, he could've signed a contract extension weeks ago. Face it, you're being held ransom by one of your star players or us or both. He could sign for us or anyone else for that matter, in any case it'd make your attempts and the ones of your fellow Brizzle fans to make it look as if your in a position of power very amateurish. Oh, btw: In case you didn't know, weekends usually tend to be rather quiet on the transfer front.
Monkeh BCFC Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 our chairman has just been on radio Bristol and has said we have not recived any further bids for maynard
80footgiraffe Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 “ A friend of mine who works in the laundry room at the training ground, has been told Martyn Waghorn will not need any more training kit from today? ” by MissWhipX From comments under the Shane Long article on the merc website.
Carlos9 Posted 1 August 2011 Posted 1 August 2011 our chairman has just been on radio Bristol and has said we have not recived any further bids for maynard Your chairman needs reassess his entire life. Get the money whilst you can, he doesn't want to stay at Bristol else he would of said so and signed the contract. If he doesn't come Leicester now, you will lose him to a prem team on a free. If he goes to a big team he has got a massive chance of being a bench warmer. With us he will be wanted!
