RizLCFC Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 It seems the first bid was accepted and then we had a problem with his wages being too high, Sven then moved on to other targets in Maynard, CMS, Heskey and maybe others such as Evans. Now, after pulling out of the CMS deal, NM being too over priced by BCFC and Heskey having huge wages, maybe Sven has come back in with another bid for his prime target and this time we maybe more willing to compromise on his wages. Seems a bit desperate but out of all the strikers we've been linked with he would be the one I'd most welcome (back) to LCFC!
Will1981 Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 I think Sven should offer Everton a 1m take it or Leave it offer for the Yak and offer him 40k per week max. Everton will have to take the offer as there finances are in a right mess and they need to get Yakubu off there wage bill.

They payed 11.25 for him they'll want as much as they can get and it'll be 3m at least. Why would we need to pay him 40k as well when he's only on 35k at Everton?

Why would we need to pay him 40k as well when he's only on 35k at Everton? I think he is on 55k a week at Everton so if they dont sell him it will cost them nearly 3m a year in wages. They need to sell him more than we need to buy him its time for Sven to start playing hard-ball. ps I didn't say pay him 40k per week, I said pay him no more than 40k per week, the less we pay him the better.

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 I wouldn't be so sure of that... I think he is right. Moyes has already said he needs to clear out some of the players on the books before he can buy. If the Yak is on £35k a week + then it makes sense they want rid more than we want him as we have different options and they will not want to be paying a wage like that if he is not in their plans.

How many times, he's not on 55k! His wage is around 35K
samstown92 Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 Nugent does the running, Yak scores the goals = Promotion!
paddy Agyemang Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 The Yak scores goals, that is all I have to say on the matter, It is up to Sven whether he wants to pursue this or go with Maynard Agreed mate
MikeyT Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 Ohmy6od2 Chris Adcock by first4LCFC @Fourth_Official I can categorically state no £4m bid has or will be made for Yakubu. #fact #lcfc

MikeyT Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 Who is Chris Adcock is he partial to some inside news No idea. Just figured i'd post this because it's Yakubu related.
Toffee_Fox Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 First4LCFC stirring shit on twitter shocker Everton go to America tomorrow according to their websites, so suppose we will see if he goes or not, if he doesn't then a deal to someone looks on the cards. They all think and some of their ITK's are saying we have bid.
Toffee_Fox Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official Confirmed by a source at an Airport, Yakubu was NOT part of the Everton squad that flew out to America today

Mr.Lowe Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 I for one would love the Yak back, if he agreed to our terms... All this crap about him being lazy, at the end of the day the bloke WILL bang in the goals for us, he's proven that last season and i see him a premier league standard player. I'd have him over Maynard!
Toffee_Fox Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 Stringer says he asked Sven about it and Heskey and he said "no comment"

Toffee_Fox Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 Just seen that £1m That wouldn't even tempt them lot, Moyes is known for getting good fee's for his players, can't remember many he sold cheap (Andy Johnson £14m to Fulham, Lescott £26m to City, McFadden £7m to Birmingham)
Bert Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 Who is Chris Adcock is he partial to some inside news Whoever he is, he's a muppet.
psychonaut Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 I'm guessin this is all rumours again Isn't everything a rumour? Unless Sven or Andrew Neville or one of that ilk come out and publicly state it.
