Was always going to be a tough one to save but he I think he may have had a chance if he wasnt so far over. I would say he wont make that mistake again but as its Weale we're talking about ......

Narborough_fox Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 I don't think that's as unsaveable as my mates were making it out to be. One step either left or back and that's a pretty easy save to make but it is a good hit. Nice move for our goal.
ScouseFox Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 I think it's more the fact it came from nothing, can't say I was expecting a shot from there, so Weale didn't have the time to position himself, think it's more a case of well played to their striker than a mistake from the 'keeper.

Gally,Naughton,Bruma,Wellens,King,even PVA must've banged in about 15 screamers between them. We need to be more threatening from corners and crosses in general,IMO

Shows that probably our defence has been our weakest link this season and why we are not right up the play off picture now. To be fair we've scored plenty from distance this season. Too many times this season when our attackers had relatively straight-forward chances, and yet they blow their chance of scoring, and the consequence of this is that whenever the opposition attack our defence, it has been too easy for them to cut our defence up and it seems when they have their first chance to score, they do it. Really frustrating.

We need to be more threatening from corners and crosses in general,IMO I agree we have scored some goals from distance, but the amount of times I've seen us try and walk the ball into the net just beggars belief. We've scored more goals than QPR this season so scoring isn't an issue, but when you lose possession around your opponents box you have to be able to deal with the counter attack we haven't done this, hence our position.
