Sky Sports sources understand Swansea City have agreed a fee with Newcastle United to sign winger Wayne Routledge.

The former Crystal Palace wide-man has been linked with a move to several clubs after finding himself on the fringes at Newcastle.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Queens Park Rangers and had been linked with a permanent move to Loftus Road.

Birmingham City, Leicester City and Nottingham Forest were also understood to be interested in the 26-year-old, but he is now poised for a switch to Swansea.

Routledge has agreed personal terms with the top-flight new boys and is due to undergo a medical on Monday before finalising the deal.

Swansea are likely to pay in the region of £1.5million for Routledge, who joined Newcastle from QPR in January 2010.

He has made 36 appearances during his time at St James' Park and has also turned out for the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Fulham and Swansea's fierce rivals Cardiff City earlier in his career.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce admits his plans for the new Championship season do not include Scott Parker.

Despite winning last season's Player of the Year award former Charlton, Chelseaspacer.gif and Newcastlespacer.gif midfielder Parkerspacer.gif could not prevent the Hammers from going down.

The influential midfielder is understandably keen to return to the Premier League as the Upton Park club continue to count the cost of relegation.

DJ Campbell and Jay Bothroyd up front for QPR - I can't foresee any issued with those two up front. Nice lads.

Even more reason to hate QPR.

Chuck in Neil Warnock, Adel Taarabt, Paddy Kenny and that cunt who wears the sombrero hat and you have a ground filled with shit.

Nice have rejected an offer from West Ham for frontman Eric Mouloungui, according to the president of the French club. The Gabonese international has one year left on his contract at Nice and has so far decided against signing an extension, opening the door for a move away.

And now Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is ready to offer him a shot at English football with his new-look side.

But Nice president Jean-Pierre Rivere has warned West Ham they must up their bid if they are serious about signing Mouloungui.

"West Ham approached us with an offer which was of no interest. Eric Mouloungui is an important player and we want to keep him," he told L'Equipe.

"Obviously if it's an acceptable offer on different levels we're not stupid, we'd study it, but it's not the case."
