Leicfox Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 On the 19th July 2011, it was announced Puncheon's agent had accepted a bid from Hull City and that they were in the latter stages of agreeing a deal for the winger. It is widely thought 'The Tiger's' manager Pearson projected the idea after hearing a local teen repeatedly say Puncheon's name in a pre-season friendly match against a local club. lol
FoxyPV Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Naughton has joined Nar'ch on a season long loan. Bastard.
Finnegan Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Sad, sad times. I always knew he was a nobhead, I thought he'd at least hold out for the Championship.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 A couple of Dutch Rudders would do as well. Hellllllloooooooo!!!!!
ajthefox Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Aguero was all the hype a couple of years back but he seems to have dropped off the radar recently and you don't hear much of him. Will be interested to see if he can cut it in the Prem, cause we all know how useless his current strike partner was when he came to the big time, then he goes to Athletico and scores for fun. Tevez is an almighty loss to not only Man City but the Premier League as well, will be a shame to see him go. Quite a few of these South Americans seem to be going back to their home country to finish off their careers, obviously Tevez is a little younger than the likes of Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo and the like. Wouldn't be surprised if they went in for Neymar as well. Pah!! That miserable twat should've fooked off last summer!! Good riddance I say.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 22 July 2011 Posted 22 July 2011 Ipswich have a 2nd bid rejected for Millwall's James Henry. (I wanted us to go for him at the start of summer). Blackpool sign Barry Ferguson for undisclosed on a 2 year deal. Good signing. Cardiff today linked with Forests' Luke Chambers. Quality player although just a rumour. Kenny Miller set to sign, also a good player for this level.
millzi Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Forlan went to Villarreal and scored for fun there first. Not to mention he won the Golden Ball at the WC, but yeah, I see your point. He's crap he is... And I have no idea what you mean by Agüero being off the radar. He's been on it constantly! Every transfer window rumours have linked him with big-money moves away from Atletico. I never said Forlan was crap now did I!? So before you start putting words in my mouth, actually read what I said!! I will happily admit that Forlan is a class player and that he was amazing at the WC (although rated 88 on Fifa 11 I think is a bit OTT ). If you read what I actually said, he was dire when he was at Man Utd, I went to watch a Champs League game against Nantes when he was there and the string of chances he missed was unbelievable, but he has turned his career around since leaving them. All I'm saying is that I think Aguero could be a big risk and he might not turn out to be the player that they want him to be, I mean don't get me wrong, I'd love him to be class and fill Tevez's boots, but we'll see. Pah!! That miserable twat should've fooked off last summer!! Good riddance I say. How anyone could possibly say that Tevez doesn't set the Premier League alight is beyond me! All you have to do is look how many goals he scored last season and almost single handedly took Man City into the Champions League position! Whether he's a "miserable twat" or not, he is still a brilliant player with a lot of talent, and will leave an almighty hole in Man City's team.

Forlan moved from an Argentinian team before he was even capped internationally. Aguero has over 100 goals for Atletico Madrid and 13 goals in 30 caps for Argentina. Completely different scenarios.
Turtles Head Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Aguero is a far better player than Tevez. If consistency is a factor, I agree. When on form, Tevez is a better player.
sdb Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Aguero is quality but I wouldn't say he's better than Tevez.

I read it as another one of the all-too-common FT digs at La Liga/heralding of the Premier League. But apologies if you didn't mean that at all.

Aguero has over 100 goals for Atletico Madrid and 13 goals in 30 caps for Argentina. Completely different scenarios. True. I would love Aguero to go to the Premier League and be amazing, but he has a massive job if he is to live up to the expectations that will be put on him once Tevez leaves. He's still relatively young so he can adapt, but players, like managers, aren't given all that long to adapt. Or maybe he'll go to the Prem and take it all in his stride and smash it.
Happy Fox Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 Leeds sign Andy Longeran http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20110725/lonergan-joins-united_2247585_2401481

sdb Posted 26 July 2011 Posted 26 July 2011 Don't get what's going on at QPR. And have people seen their ticket prices next year (inc away)?! Man am I glad I don't support them.
MikeyT Posted 26 July 2011 Posted 26 July 2011 Cardiff City have completed the signing of Scotland international striker Kenny Miller from Bursaspor.
AjcW Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Aguero having his medical at Man City today. Also N'zogbia having his medical at Aston Villa.
Wymsey Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 Aguero having his medical at Man City today. I can imagine him playing alongside Tevez and Balotelli with the three up front.
Adster Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 I can imagine him playing alongside Tevez and Balotelli with the three up front. Deadly.
AjcW Posted 27 July 2011 Posted 27 July 2011 I think I would prefer to see Tevez- Dzeko- Aguero. The height of Dzeko in the middle would be useful. But then Tev is probably still going to leave so I would imagine that creates a space for Balotelli if he sorts himself out.
millzi Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Aguero has completed his move to Man City, 5 year deal, price thought to be around £38m.
