I think Bert does get the odd snippet of solid info, his record suggests that. However the adulation and the need in forum members for such info leads to something else, guess work and speculation!!

Alright chaps. Sorry about the Kebe thing. I was told by two reliable people that it was happening and a medical was going on. I apologise. People are saying stuff about my credibility. I'm not bothered about that. I post what I hear. I can take all the flak too. If people want to have a dig, then so be it. I only stopped a while back because it was constant from one person.

I'll continue to post what i'm told - if people want to believe, or if they don't, it that's up to them. I will say I was the first to break Waghorn only going on loan for the short term, rather than long term. Anyway, it's all in the past now.

Let's get on to supporting the lads.

If you're talking about Bert, I can't say I've detected much of a hint of arrogance from him since he's been posting hints and rumours on here - or calling himself THE source of information.

If you mean Liam then, and I'm sorry to say this, more fool you for actually listening to him.

If Bert only passes on information from someone else why does he describe himself as the man in the know on Facebook. I learnt last night that both him and Liam are just messengers and all of us can do exactly the same as what we are doing.

I'm really not sure at what point during the summer Liam turned from being a simpleton people were laughing at to being a genuine fountain of "knowledge." It's amazing who people will listen to under desperation. I'm sorry if I've missed something here, I don't read transfer talk as much as some of you, but is Liam just not a ridiculously over-active twitter obsessive passing off other people's rumours as his own?

Betts - if you can show me quotes from Facebook where I'VE said I AM the man in the know then or even describing that myself as the man in the know I'll be impressed.

Almost certain I've never said that, the only thing I've really said is that I know a few people.

If you're gonna open your mouth, get your facts right.

READING FC manager Brian McDermott is accused Leicester City of trying to unsettle Jimmy Kebe.

Royals boss was furious when reports emerged on transfer deadline day yesterday (Wednesday) suggesting a late approach from the Foxes for the 27-year-old winger.

But McDermott believes the tactic was purely the work of Leicester themselves.

Speaking exclusively to the Chronicle, McDermott declared: "I might put something on Sky Sports saying we're trying to buy three or four Leicester's players.

"Other clubs do, it's very easy to do that sort of thing. If that's what you are into then fine, but we choose do things differently at Reading."

News of big-spending Leicester's alleged interest in Kebe intensified yesterday. But Reading were insisting they had received no contact from the Foxes regarding the player who is yet to sign a new contract at Madejski Stadium.

"There has been no contact from anyone regarding Jimmy," insisted McDermott. "Whatever Leicester do is up to them.

"To be honest, I'm not really bothered how Leicester conduct their business. But if we wanted to do that sort of thing there is nothing stopping us either.

"I think they were linked with about 10 players on Wednesday alone. It was ridiculous."

If by 'cock' you mean 'entirely justified' then I agree. And Tord Grip came out and said he was interested in Jimmy, he's not an agent and very much connected with you.

Big Mac is very much of the opinion that you should respect other club's players while they are contracted with said club. It's the done thing really, etiquette. It just comes off as a bit prickish to be reeling off lists off players you' want to sign (not just Leicester, Redknapp does it at Spurs and it does my head in) when they're other club's property, especially when they're mulling over a new contract.

If they genuinely believed their players wouldn't be tempted by moves elsewhere, then speculation shouldn't bother them. It's obvious McDermott has completely miscalculated the situation and in turn has made himself look rather silly! Leicester have never been the sort of club to publically talk about other clubs players, Sven's interviews are an example of that. Anytime he's asked about someone from another team he always says the line 'They're a good player, but thats not something we've looked at'.

We are linked with 10 or so players because lazy journalists see we have money and put 2 and 2 together to make 5.

and being TD day agents will be making plenty of mischief, especially if contracts are being discussed :giggle:

add that to the fact the club didn't want the jelavic offer to be announced. makes "big mac" look rather foolish. better off blaming twitter twats.
