Not everything they say will be 100% right, deals fall through for a number of reasons! And with it deadline day there was always going to me more rumours going around!! At least Bert works for the club (I think) and gets first hand information. Those in the know as you say, obviously got that info off someone they felt was reliable but believe what you want at the end of the day! There are plenty of people here that are happy with the info they provide, if you don't wish to believe it then suit yourself!! It's always the minority that spoil it.. Just like the rioters

You cant expect all parties to come out and disclose every twist and turn. Or maybe (as is usually the case on here) it was a combination of guesswork, bullshine and pure speculation with a little dash of twitter scanning thrown in for good measure

If Stringer had said "there's a rumour Kebe is having a medical" then fair enough if it falls through. If Stringer had said it with authority and it wasn't true you'd have a right to be disappointed. As licence fee payers we're in a position to demand quality journalism from nationalised services and that's exactly from where Stringer draws his salary. Bert is just an honest, decent lad with some friends who work for the club and whom (if I understand correctly) does a little bit of local youth scouting for academy. If he hears something from one of his sources he's going to let you know but it's not going to be gospel, is it? He's not Tord Grip's PA or Sven's right hand man. I imagine very few people are privy to the exact details of the club's transfer movements, particularly on a day like today. The players and the coaching staff themselves usually won't have a clue what's going on, let alone further down. What news filters through is often going to be sporadic. You can either accept that and move on or you can get pissy and stroppy when people get the odd one wrong and then you're going to have nothing at all when, quite rightly, the poster tells you to go bollocks. The same happened with knowitall and that's a real shame.
