We were linked at the end of last season and didn't act upon any supposed interest. Now, when we're pretty desperate and he's in contract talks with Reading, it surfaces on deadline day that a deal might be happening.... There seem to be a few agents on Twitter and if people were getting their info from them then that might explain things. I don't suppose there would be any harm with one agent doing another a favour by circulating a rumour such as this one for a player to either a) put him in the mind of the club on a day they might be a bit more desperate to do business (us in this case) or b) strengthen their hand in contract negotiations with their current club. Just seems strange that so many sources could lend their support to this rumour without someone with genuine influence putting it out there.

Those who believe their own hype have to deliver on it, or be rightly ridiculed as a result. If you're talking about Bert, I can't say I've detected much of a hint of arrogance from him since he's been posting hints and rumours on here - or calling himself THE source of information. If you mean Liam then, and I'm sorry to say this, more fool you for actually listening to him. I'm really not sure at what point during the summer Liam turned from being a simpleton people were laughing at to being a genuine fountain of "knowledge." It's amazing who people will listen to under desperation. I'm sorry if I've missed something here, I don't read transfer talk as much as some of you, but is Liam just not a ridiculously over-active twitter obsessive passing off other people's rumours as his own?

Go light some sweet smelling candles, get in the bath and have some nice girly chill time for an hour or two.
