sphericalfox Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 It's not me, I looked in the bin a saw loads of stuff in there that there didn't seem much wrong with. Well, I shall be careful not to incur the wrath of the other moderators, but maybe at the next meeting a little word of discouragement? Also is there any chance you could get Mark or whom it may concern to change the time on the posts/threads, whilst I appreciate that when the clocks change it'll be sorted but for me it's like leaving a cupboard door open unnecessarily in the kitchen. Makes me want to fix it.

Click on the arrow next to "Signed in as sphericalfox", select my settings, and at the top of your page you have the option to select your time-zone and enable/disable DST correction.

I feel rather simple in not looking at the settings. Nevermind, I'm sure I'll have more opportunities to prove it.
acooling08 Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Am I the only one finding it hard to trust someone named Bert on a fan's forum over a 'done deal' which isn't confirmed anywhere else?
The Doctor Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Am I the only one finding it hard to trust someone named Bert on a fan's forum over a 'done deal' which isn't confirmed anywhere else? Bert has proven himself to be worthy of some degree of trust given the information he's given that has turned out correct over the years.
Callabinho Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Am I the only one finding it hard to trust someone named Bert on a fan's forum over a 'done deal' which isn't confirmed anywhere else? The information he gives us keeps us close to the club and not held at arms length. I for one very much appreciate what he tells us. He doesn't have to but chooses to and I wouldn't want him to stop if certain people give him grief.
DB11 Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Am I the only one finding it hard to trust someone named Bert on a fan's forum over a 'done deal' which isn't confirmed anywhere else? I would say yes, yes you are.
john doe Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Am I the only one finding it hard to trust someone named Bert on a fan's forum over a 'done deal' which isn't confirmed anywhere else? no and letting us know about things that are already in the public domain does not show inside knowledge he is always 50 percent right or 50 percent wrong like all of us but we dont have the backing of the mods we get shouted down or deleted
TheUltimateWinner Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Bert is the god of foxes talk, We trust him with our life. We stay up at night hoping he posts We beg him for info and he always delivers, Not because he has to but because he wants to, as a fan of leicester city. Bert is hope Hope = PASHUUUNNNNNNNNNN
smudger63 Posted 18 June 2011 Posted 18 June 2011 Am I the only one finding it hard to trust someone named Bert on a fan's forum over a 'done deal' which isn't confirmed anywhere else? Well, having been around foxestalk for a while now, and knowing the reliable info Bert has given us in the past, i`d say i trust Bert more than Stringer or Rob Tanner.
Narborough_fox Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 My link Skysports.com understands several Premier League and Championship sides are chasing former Portsmouth striker David Nugent.Nugent is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Portsmouth and his availability has alerted a number of clubs. The former Preston man netted 14 goals last season and a number of sides are thought to have registered their interest. Queens Park Rangers and Swansea could make moves as they look to bolster their attacking options, while Leicester and Ipswich have been credited with an interest in the England international. The one-cap England international is set to return from holiday next week and will weigh up his options before making a decision on where he to continue his career.
Callabinho Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 The radio have just said west ham and Blackpool are in for him, doesn't mention LCFC....
Bert Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 Put it this way. I was told it's a done deal, and simply told everyone. Not looking for people to say "oh please don't" etc, but if it keeps the moaners happy I can just as easily stop.
purpleronnie Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 Bet if he goes to blackpool people will just say 'didn't want him anyway'.

If your source is 100% concrete (which I assume it is) and he doesn't sign then we'll have to assume that something changed Nugent's end very late on.

Kent Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 That would be the only possible outcome. So based on the time that's passed since you got told are you starting to think that's what has happened or do you reckon it's just not been announced yet?
Bert Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 So based on the time that's passed since you got told are you starting to think that's what has happened or do you reckon it's just not been announced yet? I've not heard that it's off. I just think that it's not going to be announced until July 1st. Although, when you hear conflicting reports, it does make you wonder.

I believe he will be unvailed soon
Liamlcfc1 Posted 19 June 2011 Posted 19 June 2011 I think a lot of it is all agent talk trying to get themself the best price and contacting papers and media to stiir things up i think he will sign for us as we can offer him better wages then most clubs can.
