I want to avoid Apple's circle of iPhone and just have a simple phone and a SIM only contract. I know of someone that's just bought an Iphone 4 on PAYG and paid for it upfront (£500 odd quid). I've no idea why anyone would do that. You should do that. Just to see what happens
