Austin Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 I'd be gutted if we genuinely had a bid in for him and he opted for Portsmouth!
Bezzanator89 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 I'd be gutted if we genuinely had a bid in for him and he opted for Portsmouth! It would feel like a kick in the bollocks. We are the ones with the financial backing for crying out loud.
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Surely he's not that dum to reject us for scummy pompey?
Jon the Hat Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Maybe he likes living in the South. Try not to take everything personally, life is much easier that way.

Austin Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Dont understand where Pompey suddenly have money from Mandaric is probably paying somone there still to keep quiet about his dodgy dealings ....
Danny the Fox 95 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Im pretty sure we'll put a bid in for Whittingham today or tomorrow!
The Doctor Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Why do people critisize Wellens? He's superb. And the bit I've highlighted, you seem to change your opinion. The team suffers if he plays poorly because he is the one that determines most of our play. I've had many opposition fans tell me that most of our good play comes via Wellens. Wellens gets a foot it where as other players don't, he is very skillfull and his passing and vision is superb. In my opinion, Andy King is the one that slows down play. I don't rate him, and if Whittingham signed (along with Danns), King would be my choice to be dropped. of course, who needs a good goalscorer who plays simple, possession retaining passes when you've got a player who'll score 2/3 a season and attempts at hollywood balls that only come off 40% of the time.

artursteppe Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 I don't need King or Wellens in my team, on the bench is OK, but we need better this season. Peter Whittingham was born in Nuneaton and his parents still live there. I don't see any problems with a Midland lad coming back to the Midlands, however, and I know his father very well, I just can't see Sven going for him. Sven seems to be going for players with pace and a high work rate, that isn't Whittingham, nor by the way is it Wellens or King.
JJS84 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Im pretty sure we'll put a bid in for Whittingham today or tomorrow! Do you know something?

Darkon84 Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 My mate supports Norwich goes to home and away games, and he's says he good but he's very overated. Can't cross for shit. Fair enough. Always seemed pretty decent when Ive seen him, but then again, i dont go to every game so...
