But he's just had a great season with us, so any criticisms are unfounded and just stupid. Save your rants for a player who actually deserves it.

He hogs the ball, slows play down all the time and constantly tries to plat the ultimate pass rather than keeping the ball moving quickly. Not so much of a problem when he is on his game but when he plays poorly the team suffers for it. Nobody hates him I do not think, just that I believe we play better as a team without him.

Take Wellens out the team and you use one on your cogs. at times last season he has had the odd game where its not gone his way but when it does, he is undoubtedly one of the best midfielders in the division.

People seem to think without Wellens the world would come crashing down. When in reality games where he didn't play or came off injured we did perfectly fine in. Plus I don't think he's consistent enough, when he's on it he's undoubtedly a top player, just doesn't happen nearly enough and it frustrates the hell out of me!!

Why do people critisize Wellens? He's superb. And the bit I've highlighted, you seem to change your opinion. The team suffers if he plays poorly because he is the one that determines most of our play. I've had many opposition fans tell me that most of our good play comes via Wellens. Wellens gets a foot it where as other players don't, he is very skillfull and his passing and vision is superb. In my opinion, Andy King is the one that slows down play. I don't rate him, and if Whittingham signed (along with Danns), King would be my choice to be dropped.

Hasn't the Mirror been spot on with their early reporting of LCFC transfeers in recent years? Not that I'm getting y hopes up, he would be a very good addition. Wellens is our best midfielder & one of the best in the division, easily!

Underrate him you mean, the think with King is that under Sven he has shaken off the shackles a bit and really had a go going forward so much so that I thought at times he let the other side of his game slip hence the 'King goes missing quote'. However Sven even said he warned King about it and after he did I saw a huge improvement in his all round game. King is a huge prospect and I think this season he really will take the bull by the horns.

Where have all the people gone that were saying Sven doesnt know how to play in this league and he's not suited to it. Certainly looks to me like he knows what hes doing and what type of players we need and want.
