I’m far from a Joshua fan, more ambivalent towards him if anything,  but he’s been good for HW boxing, not ducked anyone & has a decent resume.

I’m interested in why so many want to see him lose ?
Like l said I’m not a fan, just wondering why he gets the hate.

I assume you're purely focusing on him from Ruiz onwards.

I agree if that's the case.

From my point of view he comes across as a proper wannabe gangster bell

AJ has nothing that Fury or Wilder will be worried about.

When he fights for the REAL big fights he cant handle it.

He moves like a bodybuilding robot.

He wants to come across as a nice guy be hes really a wanna be gangsta who is PR'd to f@ck.

His PR bill must be huge.

He will never ever be loved like the likes of Bruno Hatton etc.

Not his fault but he was hyped beyond anything I've ever known. The next Lennox Lewis etc.

But I've just looked back through his record. His only impressive win for someone with his reputation was against the OAP version of Klitschko (which he nearly lost).

He got sparked out by an out of shape Ruiz, nearly sparked out by Whyte and outboxed twice by a truly superior Usyk.

His career stats at this stage are essentially the same as David Haye's. Which if you'd have said that in 2018, people would've laughed and wondered what the hell happened.

Truth was he was never as good as he was hyped.

Good post. How do you see Fury's resume compared to Joshua's ?

I know he's unbeaten, but l don't think he's fought many decent opponents. Klitschko in a borefest & a limited, albeit brave Wilder x3 is about it.

I dislike Joshua because he thinks he’s some sort of philosophical gangster, I’m fed up of hearing “staying humble, learning and growing as a fighter”.

He’s got maybe three fights left (depending on results, maybe less) and the clown is talking like he’s new to the sport.

I didn’t like his little bout in political nonsense either. He can say what he likes about context but the cat is out of the bag on that one. His popularity nosedived after that rant, whether people admit it or not.

He’s a mardy sore loser too, imagine spitting on belts you’ve just lost and then throwing them out of the ring.  What was that weird X thrusting thing he was doing at the crowd last night too?

He was over the moon at beating an absolute nobody, the fight was clearly uncomfortable for him and even more clear was his relief at managing to win. Despite Tony “The Bell” Bellew trying to convince everyone he was getting beaten up and dragging it out intentionally “for the rounds”.

I’d be willing to bet Joshua has the sorer face of the two today.

Other than that I really like him.

I rate Fury higher, I'm not too versed with the technical aspects of boxing, but he seems to have a bit more to his game?

The Klitschko win was great at the time and the Wilder bouts were exciting in their own rights for what happened.

However, I think Fury is one more big win away from being called one of the all time greats. He has to take on Joshua at least, preferably Usyk.

If he wants a legacy then he has to stop ducking fights.

I don’t know if anyone saw the Dennis McCann V Baluta fight, but it was an absolute Belter. McCann got caught a few times  but he dished out some punishment too. He’ll claim the first clash of heads and subsequent bleeding into his eyes obscured his vision as he started to take more punishment, and with some justification..  stopped in the 9th by another clash of heads with a majority draw decision ( 1 judge had McCann ahead). Both want a rematch but McCann will have to up his game to be a clear winner in that one…

I’ve been watching McCann for years now and he’s got a great style and the ability to keep improving.. Sky is the limit…

Would highly recommend the Netflix series 'At Home With The Fury's' to get an insight into what makes Tyson tick.

I always thought he was an arse but I kinda get it now. He clearly struggles with his mental health and erratic mood swings.

A very complex but fascinating character.

Usyk v Dubois.

Usyk to win by 8/10 rnd stoppage.

Dubois needs to make it a 5/6 rnd fight & just go for it, otherwise he's in for a long night.

I fancy Dubois for some reason.

Quietly doing his stuff, big powerful lad with only a loss to Big Joe Joyce a couple of years ago.

Can’t see it going past 6 to be honest, Dubois looked absolutely clueless against Joyce who is a pretty basic fighter, Usyk will set a relenting pace & is gonna beat him down badly imo.

Always the chance in Heavyweight boxing that one punch can end it but I just can’t see that happening with Usyk, he’s too good to walk onto a punch.

I just don’t think Dubois has the speed or movement to cope with Usyk..

If you can’t beat big Joe Joyce then I think arguably the best heavyweight in the world might be step too far.

Usyk unfortunately is way too good for Dubois and will stop him in the later rounds after round 8 in my view.

The real fight is Usyk Vs Fury and I can see this happening sometime in 2024.

That's be a very tough fight for Fury - Literally a 50 / 50 fight

11pm  ring walk tonight so could be getting on for 11.30 until the first bell. Would be a Buster Dougles level upset tonight if Dubois wins

Chisora showed how to beat Usyk.

Walk him down and get into him.
