I am Rod Hull Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Draw.. 0-0 / 1/1. I`m the biggest pessimist in the whole wide world.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 'Leicester have played 6 games during pre season winning 3, drawing 2 and losing 2'
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 'Leicester have played 6 games during pre season winning 3, drawing 2 and losing 2' = 7! You've had a shocker there.
stix Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 = 7! You've had a shocker there. I think that was his point
Corky Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 If we play like we did there last season, bearing in mind we had one point and were in disarray, this time around we should win.
Leicesterpool Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Never seen us win at the ricoh, I went to Highfield Road once & seen Leicester win 2-1, I've been three times to the ricoh, one lose, two draws.
Sods Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Never seen us win at the ricoh, I went to Highfield Road once & seen Leicester win 2-1, I've been three times to the ricoh, one lose, two draws. Thats because we have never won at the ricoh, we like a low scoring draw there so I will go for 1-1.
Hollism94 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 I think that was his point I don't think he realised the first guy was quoting the official site. Whoever wrote it has had a shocker though
Thracian Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 We never seem to completely commit ourselves to the cause of winning at Coventry. For me there is only one acceptable tactic after scoring a goal and that is to keep pressing the opposition as early as possible and to try to score again. The whole idea of trying to cling onto a lead is anathema to me because, too often, it simply doesn't work. Furthermore I don't see any merit in doing anything but trying to win this season - home and away - and that means leaving the traps much faster than we usually do and sustaining some proper tempo which, again, has often not been the case. That's not to say we should be kamikaze, it's to say we should be ruthless. Get the ball quickly, pass it even quicker, get support forward fast when we're in possession and never stop trying to create chances and trying to score from them. What I expect is something much more neutral and which will produce the usual close game and probably have people carping their usual "so long as we draw away and win at home," analysis which we've never made work yet, at least from my memory over the last 10 years. It'll make our task harder not having any kind of recognised potency in attack which means that so long as Coventry play determined football in defence they'll likely have a chance of pinching a goal and perhaps a point or more because I sure don't see how we'll get two goals or more judging by how slow we seem to be at converting defence to attack with any worthwhile numbers. I'd like to say our defence is so good now we won't concede and will win 1-0 but Leicester don't seem to do "nil against" very often and looked as self-destructive as ever against Real. So I'll go for another typically uninspiring derby-day draw at 1-1 and early comments of "Trust Sven, we'll be brilliant soon." Dogged maybe, combative maybe, but brilliant? No. We're much too short of pace and penetration for brilliant. PS: Looks forward to being spectacularly wrong!.
gazfox9 Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Draw.. 0-0 / 1/1. I`m the biggest pessimist in the whole wide world. Perhaps not THE biggest as you've not predicted we'll lose! For the record, I'm going 3-1 Nugent 1st scorer!
Salieri Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 Hopes are high and on paper we should murder them. 1-1.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 4 August 2011 Posted 4 August 2011 I don't think he realised the first guy was quoting the official site. Whoever wrote it has had a shocker though Oh, now I understand. Someone did have a shocker, apologies for the slur ;-)
