FrankieADZ Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Thats why I dont listen to the pundits on the BBC. there right turd talkers.... thats why I watch Soccer Saturday
Amin Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Go on.... What's Claridge chirp in with then ? Gabby Logan asked him and Matt Holland about us after the result came in and he was arguing with Matt about the signing of Matt Mills and saying that the money Leicester have spent is ridiculous, while Matt seemed impressed and backed us for the league.
Mr Happy Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Good win lads Loved the commentry, favourite part was 2nd half ball went out for a throw in and Stringer said the cov fans were complaining... all 10 of them
Callabinho Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Don't forget we were able to leave King and Gally on the bench, and we still created chances and ultimately won the game!
Salieri Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Thats why I dont listen to the pundits on the BBC. there right turd talkers.... thats why I watch Soccer Saturday I miss Soccer Saturday.
sg6 Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Fernandes was by far the best player on the pitch, our midfield were excellent and nugent worked his socks off, good spirited performance and bring on the next 45 games! Edit: whoever is the one who said abe and Danns weren't great have no idea what they are talking about, abe was great and even when he went to right back and Danns was immense I thought!
Libertine Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 sure I read something about his work permit coming through towards the other day in Ghana, so he probably isn't even in the country yet and therefore probably hasn't done any training yet He already lives in England, he had a press conference at LCFC along with Johnson. He's not even played a pre-season game anyway so I can't see him starting just yet, not that Peltier deserves dropping by the sounds of things. According to BBC, Alex Punchev is on the bench for Palace.
nuttytimmy Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Superb start to the season. Impressed with Fernandes considering it's his first game for us and I was happy with Nugent's performance too. He's got goals in him, I'm sure, but for now his positional play and attacking nous are credible. Vassell should be disappointed for being sent off so cheaply. It was a poor challenge. Anyway, my views in full...
Nath Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 we showed great team spirit and PASSION today! Midfieldrs bossed this game, even when we went a man down... Cov have a very long season ahead of them.

According to BBC, Alex Punchev is on the bench for Palace. was on about this..... Ghana defender John Pantsil has secured his work permit in Accra which will enable him play for Leicester City, MTNFootball.com understands.Pantsil finalized the process at the Bristish High Commission in Accra on Wednesday evening. This makes the right-back available for selection ahead of the start of the Npower Championship next week. The 30-year-old was expected to make his debut last Saturday against Spanish giants Real Madrid at the King Power Stadium. But he travelled to Ghana to sort out the paperwork to ensure that he is available for the start of the season. The former Fulham player signed a three-year deal with Sven Goran-Eriksson’s side last month and has already talked up their promotion chances. according to this he was in Ghana Wednesday/Thursday this week getting his permit. was more on about this than not living here etc your right Pettier doesn't deserve dropping but seems like he's out for a couple of weeks now anyway
John Matrix Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 well that was good..shame peltier got a twinge hopefully were not that lairy every game
cc_star Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Claridge is just about used up all my goodwill towards him, he's turning into a right prize cock 1 big money signing & a few who were about right for a top 6 Champs team is hardly ridiculous, couple of loans like Fernandes & Johnson and a few wily old frees like Nugent etc any more bullshit from him & I'll remember him for being a cock and not the goal against Palace & Middlesboro
Webbo Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Anyone know how bad Pelt's injury is, shame for him because missing a game with the level of competition for places could be curtains... you listening Vassell? Sven said maybe 1or 2 weeks out. Stringer let something slip about Ball signing too.

Seems he'll be playing sooner than we might expect. Might be difficult for Peltier to get his place back, which is a bit harsh.
lcfcsnow Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Just on way back. We were in control from when cov went down to 10 men too. Good win, fernandes was awesome, brilliant. Just felt we was lacking urgency especially after we scored, cov were there for the taking, awful side.
wurmer Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Gabby Logan asked him and Matt Holland about us after the result came in and he was arguing with Matt about the signing of Matt Mills and saying that the money Leicester have spent is ridiculous, while Matt seemed impressed and backed us for the league. Claridge is a joke, just ignore him.
Bert Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Decent performance in a game where it was overshadowed my some poor officials, yet again. Pleased to see we were so solid at the back. They didn't get in behind us once and there chances were all long range shots.
drc Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Fernandes is probably our best signing. His style of playing suits the championship and he could play above this league. Good to hear he was vocal too. I think we have the best squad in the leauge but maybe not the best starting 11.
Callabinho Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Every one is jealous of what we have, yes we have brought in loads of new players and spent a fair amount however what today proves is that we are a team. We needed to show similar characteristics to that of QPR of last year, and we did. we went down to ten men didn't panic, kept our shape and still carried a threat. A good team can win ugly as well as classy! Yes Coventry passed well and looked much improved but what threat did they pose in front of goal? We carried the threat and nicked the goal we needed! it was a SOLID not fantastic performance but we claimed 3 points. So ignore what the haters say we have gone about our business and delivered and isn't that what we set out to do? Plus I wouldn't even consider that our strongest 11!
George Posted 6 August 2011 Posted 6 August 2011 Can't actually believe that some of your fans are ridicouling the ref, he sent our player off for something that probably wasn't even a booking, first half we were the better side. Second half was more even with you shading it, close game with not a lot in it. Good finish by Peltier and Fernandes was superb. Good luck for the season.
