It doesn't help. People rarely riot when they have money in their pocket. Last time this happened was '81......

Times are tough for most people, unfortunately most cuts are necessary, all my family work in the public sector so I have been directly affected, but even they would say the massive inefficiencies in their areas of work really did mean it could not go on and don't blame the government for what they did, but it will take time for things to improve.

And surely the scenes we are seeing is more about morals not money? This is simply opportunist theft. The same people would be doing this whether they had jobs or not, we should also remember why this started a few days ago.

The ****ing ethnic community!!!!!

For real? You're judging the tens of thousands of valued people from our city and county who are as peaceful as anyone else, based on the actions of a handful of mindless c***s?

Tool.

EDIT: Oh and someone has +1'd it. Even better.

oh **** off you knuckle dragger.

These riots are not solely "the ethnic community" or caused by "the ethnic community" (In the sense in which you're using the phrase.)

Was angry before but my auntie and her partner both run separate sports shops in Manchester city centre - both of which have been smashed up - I'm unspeakably pissed off about this and right now could go out and kill the first little scrote In a hoodie and mask I see - definitely catching the bus tomorrow cos I can't afford a smashed up car

Get down to a basic root level and its down to poor education etc which leads to no hope, no future, no reason to care. Its happened for generations. When you have something like 50% of the wealth in 1% of the populations pocket, it doesn't help.

This might sound fucked up, but in a way I'm just glad it's confined to the centre. Walked up and down Belgrave/Melton Road earlier and seeing even the whiff of a rumour of a riot in the eyes of small independent shopkeepers stood around guarding their families' businesses was painfully upsetting. Not saying there aren't independent businesses that won't suffer on Granby St and that in itself is appalling, but it could have been so much worse had these cretins decided to meet up somewhere else.

Why are people even talking about their excuses??? their is no excuse for this! ffs

They aren't EXCUSES they're CAUSES!!

These people didn't just beam down from Mars overnight, they live in our society everyday yet people only give a shit when something like this happens.

I'm thinking you should get banned for remarks like that.

If I had my way I'd go much further Mr. Jigs.

If people Really believe this is to do with the current government, the same would have happened under Brown, we were well into recession when the election took place and there was no evidence of it improving.

(not that I think it is anything to do with the government, if 1 protest last week wasn't disturbed by thugs than none of this would have happened IMO)

and that's when communism starts to make sense.

In reality it wouldn't and doesn't work all that well, however in theory it's a good idea.

there is reason for everything. These people have their reason for the riots starting. Granted it has got well out of hand and all reason has gone out the window but there is still some reason behind this.

I could have sworn that I put you on ignore after your third post. How do you feel about the fact that our collective ancestry can be traced back to North Africa? Does it make you feel a bit seedy when you wank?
