sdb Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Stoke played brilliantly today. Would love to see us press teams like that. Got a few lucky calls today but not as ridiculous as some are making out. People need to see past the stereotype of them being thugs.
ScouseFox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Fvcking hell Chris Foy was shite. Handball in build up to first Stoke goal. Kaboul dragged down (happened a number of times in Stoke's area.) Shawcross handball on the line Kaboul sending off And his linesman managed to call Adebayor offside despite him being about 3 yards onside. Ridiculous stuff.
City Fox Posted 11 December 2011 Posted 11 December 2011 Was at the Sunderland - Blackburn game today as only £10 a ticket so took advantage O'Neill already working his magic with the substitutions and tactics, starting to feel sick that he never ended up back here
accessory Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Well Stoke just got away with a blatant handball on the line followed by a goal wrongly disallowed for offside so any doubts about the penalty are definitely irrelevant now! To be fair they both would've been really difficult decisions for the officials to get right... The Adebayor offside decision wasn't even close. The linesman had an absolute shocker all afternoon, missing a clear Crouch handball for Stoke's first. I trust after yesterday's events, Tony Penis will not have the nerve to moan about any match officials at the Britannia for the rest of the season.

He could have brought them on about 10 minutes earlier. But it worked out for him in the end, helped by kamikaze defending and tactics by Blackburn. The Yak must be even more frustrating for their fans than he was for us. I'll be surprised if Kean is still in a job at Christmas.

I'll be surprised if Kean is still in a job at Christmas. I'm honestly surprised he's kept his job for this long Felt a bit sorry for the Yak yesterday, he was the lone front man and all Blackburn wanted to do was sit back soak up the pressure then try and hit Sunderland on the break. From my memory Yak was never known for his pace so bit of a strange way to try and play when all you've really got as a weapon is height Samba was an absolute beast though be very surprised if he's still there at the end of the window
Corky Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 Yakubu is never going to do well playing on his own up front. Poor tactics.
lcfcadam Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 The Adebayor offside decision wasn't even close. Yeah I know, I just meant it was one of those where the situation is quite difficult to read quickly, with one player in the defence not doing the same as his colleagues in moving out quickly to play the trap. Let's face it we all thought it was clearly offside when we first saw it didn't we? Not that that excuses the linesman, in that kind of situation he probably had a better view than someone watching on television...

But the linesman, with a clear live view, should have done. I wonder what game he'll get next week?

Corky Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 I hope City win tonight, would like to see them win the league.

MikeyT Posted 12 December 2011 Author Posted 12 December 2011 Chelsea ripped to pieces. Balotelli goal. Chelsea 0-1 Man City
I am Rod Hull Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 My lad said "I think Chelsea will win this" I said "nah, cant see it and Man City WILL score" 10 seconds later 1-0
Corky Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 So cool from Balotelli. Chelsea have struggled but good equaliser.
purpleronnie Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 2-1 Chelsea Lampard pen good, I told my dad to bet chelsea, I thought 6/4 was fab odds, although not sure if he bet it....although plenty of time left yet.
Tom17LCFC Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 good, I told my dad to bet chelsea, I thought 6/4 was fab odds, although not sure if he bet it....although plenty of time left yet. Yeah I'm hoping City equalise! Chelsea were 4/1 when they went 1-0 down. Tempted to have a cheeky flutter at that but didn't, regret it horribly now!
shen Posted 12 December 2011 Posted 12 December 2011 My lad said "I think Chelsea will win this" I said "nah, cant see it and Man City WILL score" 10 seconds later 1-0 And now who's got egg on the face
Jimothy Posted 13 December 2011 Posted 13 December 2011 Darren Fletcher is taking an "extended break" from football. http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/16165953.stm Sounds quite ill. Never liked him as a player nor his attitude on the pitch, but needless to say hope he makes a full recovery.
