Libertine Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 So, we've played our first 5 and now we have a bit of a break. 10 games is usually the benchmark for the more rational people to assess a team/manager fairly. So, with our next 5 games being: Barnsley (A) Brighton (H) Cardiff (A) Boro (A) Derby (H) What amount of points and position in the league - a) do you expect b) will you be happy with? I think the break has come at a decent time for us, and if we finally get that quality striker, I see no reason we can't stay unbeaten. Cardiff & Boro are the only ones that concern me a little, but I see no reason we can't get draws for the two. I'd be hoping for 10/11 points personally and hope we'll be sitting in the play off positions by October.
Bugg Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Barnsley(A) - 3 Points Brighton(H) - 1 Point Cardiff (A) - 0 Points (we never win there) Boro (A) - 3 Points Derby (H) - 3 Points Think we might struggle against Brighton at home, however, after the Southampton result I see no reason why we couldn't get all 3, gone for 1 though as I think that's most likely what we will get. And with Cardiff, we never seem to win there, even when we beat them in the play off semi final we still ended up losing (albeit on penalties)
Callabinho Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Barnsley (A) - Win Brighton (H) - Win Cardiff (A) - loss Boro (A) - loss Derby (H) - win

Will we have to play the league leaders every home game? Glad we only have one home game in the next four matches - we look a lot more impressive away at the mo. We should really beat Barnsley, I really, really hope we can beat Cardiff, and Boro couldn't beat Cov at home yesterday, so they can't be playing that well. Derby failed to win yesterday for the first time in the league this season. It will be interesting to see how it affects their form over the next few matches. Should be an interesting game, that one.
Charl91 Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 If we want a decent chance, should expect at least 10 points.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Barnsley(A) - 3 Points Brighton(H) - 1 Point Cardiff (A) - 0 Points (we never win there) Boro (A) - 3 Points Derby (H) - 3 Points Think we might struggle against Brighton at home, however, after the Southampton result I see no reason why we couldn't get all 3, gone for 1 though as I think that's most likely what we will get. Guest shearfox Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Barnsley - win Brighton - win Cardiff - Draw Boro - Draw Derby - win
rico Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Barnsley (A) - 3pts Brighton (H) - 3pts Cardiff (A) - 1pt Boro (A) - 1pt Derby (H) - 3pts Brighton will come with the same attitude as Southampton, but will probably leave with nothing a la the Saints Think we will get something at Cardiff, but will probably lose the cup game there i expect us to be top 6 after the next 5 games
Jollie Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Barnsley (A) Win Brighton (H) Win Cardiff (A) Lose Boro (A) Lose (maybe no Yak hat-trick this year) Derby (H) Win 9 points
FoxyPV Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Any combination of results that give us at least 9 points and I'll satisfied. I would prefer to see us get at least 11 points and then use that to kick on.

Dylan Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Brighton are in great form so I wouldn't mind playing them... I've noticed we seem to end teams form- if they're on winning form we will beat them, and if they're on losing form we will lose!
maynefox Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 For me: Barnsley: 3 points Brighton: 3 points Cardiff: 1 point Boro: 0 points Derby: 3 points 10/15 points, not bad tbh, could be worse
m00nie Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Barnsley lose Brighton win Cardiff win Boro win Derby lose when do we ever do things straight forward
Leicester_Loyal Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Need at least 10 points IMO, I'd love 11 plus though.
@cheyette Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 If you look at the last 4 games we've been steadily improving Leicester- 0, Reading 2 Leicester- 1, Bristol 2 Leicester-- 2 Forest 2, Leicester- 3, Southampton 2. By this trend the next 4 games should be Leicester- 4, Barnsley- 2 Leicester- 5, Brighton- 2 Leicester, 6, Cardiff- 2 Leicester 7, Boro- 2 This logic is flawless

ozleicester Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 10% of the season has already gone... i expect 10 points from these games.
Night Air Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Barnsley (A) Win Brighton (H) Win Cardiff (A) Lose Boro (A) Lose (maybe no Yak hat-trick this year) Derby (H) Win 9 points No Bruma either
Ashley Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Barnsley (A) - Win Brighton (H) - Win Cardiff (A) - Draw (TV Fixture) M'Boro (A) - Draw Derby (H) - Win. 11 Points out of a possible 15, would be nice.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 It's a tough run, but we'd need 8-10 points out of them.
topharry123 Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 We need 10 I think and that's what i'd be happy with. Brighton are great to play when we are doing, hopefully the break will kill their momentum a little bit!
Yojoe36 Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 Barnsley (A)- 0-3 W Brighton (H)- 1-1 D Cardiff (A) 2-0 L Boro (A) 1-0 W Derby (H) 2-1 W
Happy Fox Posted 28 August 2011 Posted 28 August 2011 11 points would be a decent return from the next 5 games here's hoping
