The Doctor Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Yes we lost today, yes we were poor but can we please have some levelheadedness and consider the bigger picture. We have lost 2 in 10, a couple of defeats does not make us an incredibly shit team with an incompetent manager any more than a couple of wins makes us a brilliant team who are dead certs to conquer all. So, by all means critise, but please make it constructive and not just pathetic knee-jerk reactions.
dave the caveman Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 I don't think any other manager would still have a job by Monday
Wycombe Fox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Did ten home wins for a quid. Nine came-up. Guess which team let me down...for £183
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Cant believe we couldnt even muster 1 goal back. Pathetic

dirty fox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 :sge: they told me the league would be a cakewalk, that id be like a fat kid in a candy store

purpleronnie Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Did ten home wins for a quid. Nine came-up. Guess which team let me down...for £183 Oh man. As for the result surprised it was 3-0 but not surprised we lost, its the league were in anyone can beat anyone else, we proved that by beating top teams.
Schlupp Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 You can't buy the championship,Sven's a cracking manager but he's not sutiable for the championship time to get an actual manager that will move us forward.

shen Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Horrible result. Couldn't believe we were 0-2 down by half-time. Sounded like a flawless smash and grab job by Mill...
Vacamion Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 A 0-3 result at any stage of any season in any league is bad. As this 0-3 follows inconsistency recently, it feels worse. If we lose big against the 'Ammers or suffer 2 or 3 more modest reverses, I think Sven's in real trouble.
Bilbo Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Bad day at the office. People need to get a grip and face the reality - this league is one of the most difficult to predict/succeed in. Two defeats in 10 considering the teams we have played is very positive and getting a new manager isn't going to improve anything.

Expectation levels are bound to be high with the massive investment which has taken place.Unfortunately however you try and rationalise, the bottom line is we should be doing an awful lot better and losing three nil at home against a team who haven't had a league win in eleven is not good enough simple as.
Stay Positive Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 I'm not at all surprised, to be honest. I had a sneaking suspicion we'd lose this one, largely due to the fact that we always seem to turn up with the attitude that we've already won when we play a shit team. I'm not about to panic just yet. It is a bit alarming though, that every time we've had a chance to really put ourselves "up there", we blow it. Is the pressure too much? Oh well, at least we're playing a good team next...
scottthefox Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Did ten home wins for a quid. Nine came-up. Guess which team let me down...for £183 Never back your own team, I've learnt that many times before!

Guest Bilo Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 Sven could well be on his way before long. A point off the play-offs and two off automatic we may be, but that is luck rather than judgement. We're too inconsistent as things stand to mount a promotion challenge and we should not be losing at home to teams like Millwall. It's all very well raising our game for the better sides when we can be bothered, but games against so-called weaker sides like Bristol City and Millwall are our bread and butter. He can have no complaints if he's off soon. Perhaps Davies or Jones can come in now, men who know the league well and what works in it. Just hope to Christ with either man we're in the automatics rather than the play-offs.
MC Prussian Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 I'm speechless and bereft of words to describe today's level of ineptitude.

I agree with the squad we have we should be doing better, and that performance was just not good enough, but I'm fed up of "sack sven" posts flooding the board at every minor set-back. This was a bad performance but it still remains 2 defeats in 10 which is decent enough form for play-offs at least.
BlueSi13 Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 It's not the results that are the big issue for me...its how bad we are playing. Barring the Derby County game, we have been stunningly average to watch. Considering the money the owners have spent, you'd at least expect this team to be better than the one assembled for peanuts under Nigel Pearson...but it isn't....yeah...i said it.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 October 2011 Posted 22 October 2011 I don't think any other manager would still have a job by Monday Ferguson? Redknapp? Wenger? I'm just saying.
