Schemichel 5 - Indecisive on the third goal, otherwise had little to do other than picking the ball out of his net.

Peltier 6- Arguably could have cut the ball out for the second, although it was by no means his fault. Worked hard to get forward but final ball was lacking.

St. Ledger 5 - Unconvincing, and was dominated by a journeyman Championship forward (Henderson).

Konchesky 6 - Linked up well with Dyer

Wellens 4 - First half an hour he played quite well, trying to run with the ball and finding some dangerous areas. Thereafter he was ponderous in possession.

Johnson 3 - Seemed to be playing in a game where we were 3-0 up. Looks so classy on the ball but took an age to release it every time he got it, without ever looking like losing it. But his sluggishness lost the impetus of so many of our attacks.

King 4 - Marked out of the game, offered little but at least tried to get forward.

Abe 5 - Meh

Nugent 4.5 - A couple of decent runs on the ball but today his movement off the ball was atrocious. Just stood there waiting to receive it with his back to goal. Also took one of the worst free-kicks I've ever seen.

Beckford 2 - Generous. No movement off the ball, offered nothing on the ball. People may say he doesn't get the service, but Nugent's bagged 4 times in about as many games as Beckford's had. "Getting the service" is a two-way street. You have to move into dangerous positions to get the ball, or at least make good runs. He did neither. To cap it off, gave the ball away under no pressure to gift them the ball for their second goal. Pathetic.

Dyer 6.5 - Ran at their defence, linked up well with Konchesky and put in a couple of decent balls. Still looks a bit brain-dead when he plays, choosing some strange options. Our best attacking player.

Vassell 5 - Ineffective, but a vast improvement on what had preceded his arrival.

If we are to play with a diamond, we have to move the ball quicker. One- and two-touch football is the only way we are going to cut through teams. The forwards have to move more as well, we may as well have had De Vries and Howard up front in the first half for all the movement offered by Nugent and Beckford.

I would agree with most of this mate but I think the comment about Nugent standing and waiting for the ball is erroneous. Many many times especially first half he ran back to the half way line to actaully recieve the ball. The service for both strikers today was awful from midfield.

King-5. Kept making the runs, but needs to be played in a 4-4-2 so that he is less easy to mark.

Kaspar 5 I'd like to see their second again as I think he might have done better. No communication with defence today. I'm sick to death of his aimless long clearances. All he does is give possession back to the opposition.

Peltier 4.5 A pretty average display. Probably out of position for their second. Did little going forward.

SSL 4 He's just a very average defender. Poor in the air not great on the ground. Slow to get back and should have been better positioned for their second. No apparent understanding between him and Bamba and often out of position. One or two good interceptions but basically shown up by one of the most average attacks I've seen.

Bamba 5 Sloppy at times. Out of position for the penalty. Poor game. Should have attacked the corner for their third. He and SSL don't look a good combination.

Konchesky 4 Where was he for their second? Really poor quality crosses into the box. Looked very average.

Abe 2 A simply dire performance. I've given him an extra mark for at least having one shot but otherwise a totally ineffective performance. Bottled at least two challenges.

Wellens 1 Awful corners, awful free kicks awful passing. Consistently slowed the game down when we needed quicker passing. I can't understand why he wasn't subbed at half time. Generally lost most 50/50 challenges.

King 2 I can't think of a single positive impact he had on the game. Another of his totally anonymous contributions.

Johnson 5 At least he looked like he could play football which is more than the other 3 midfielders. Some nice touches but all in an area which wouldn't hurt the opposition. Not sure he shouldn't be a more attacking option.

Nugent 5 Tried his best but had to keep dropping back to the half way line to get the ball in the first half.

Beckford 2.5 With an extra sympathy point for the lack of service he got. Not sure he really wants to be here. Pathetic levels of effort. Very poor first touch on numerous occasions. Schlupp would have done just as well today and at least he would have put in some effort.

Dyer 6.5 Mainly for effort. We improved when he came on. However with the exception of a couple of decent crosses his balls into the box were poor and his lack of ability with his right foot is a major handicap.

Vassell 4.5 Didn't really seem to do a great deal.

Fernandes 5 Not on soon enough. At least showed some energy.

Peliter 5 - Tried to get forward, but kept having to check back inside and give the ball to a midfield crab, and when he did get free in advanced positions he wasted the chance to do something meaningful

Bamba 6 - adequate, didn't see pen clearly enough to include this in rating

SSL - 3 And Tunchev is farmed out to Crystal Palace? If your spell here is such a 'nightmare' mate, and you play like this when you get a chance, you can FO back to League One. How you are an international player is almost as big a mystery as what happened to Shergar.

Konchesky 4 - good runs forward in the first half, but culpable (along with others) for their second and his second half performance was pretty dire

Johnson 6 - ability wise better than anything on show, but found himself dragged down to the level of the rest of the sh*te, particuarly in the second half

Wellens 1 - crap set piece after crap set piece, sideways ball after sideways ball. The 1 mark is for the 1 hollywood pass to Peltier that actually landed in front of him - As captain, he's a disgrace

King 2 - how he stayed on the pitch is just beyond me today - was given close attention by their midfield, but if he can't make an impact, bring him off the pitch. Very very poor

Abe 3 - one of the poorest performances, but i'd have kept him on ahead of Wellens and King

Beckford 1 - barely any meaningful contribution, moaned for the last 30 mins of the half, his touch with his back to goal is frankly embarrasing and comparable to Elvis Hammond at his worst. £4m? What an absolute joke. If i never see him play for us again it will be too soon, shocking panic buy and waste of money

Nugent 6 - was knackered for most of the second half, because he was the only one showing and looking for the ball in the first 45 minutes. His body language 10 minutes from the end summed up the majority of the crowd - seemed to care unlike most of the others

Dyer 6 - tried to make an impact, although delivered balls to no-one through a combination of not looking up and being 5 seconds quicker than anyone else. Gave up with 20 to go unfortunately.

Vassell 0 - did he actually do anything of note in the second half?

King - 2. How he managed to complete 90 minutes today is a question only Sven can answer. Still trying to find a way out of Abdou's pocket.

Johnson - 5. Showed some useful touches before tiring. Isn't yet ready for two games in a week.

Nugent - 6. Never stopped trying, but too often strayed outside the penalty area.

Beckford - 0. Millwall had him sussed in previous games and coped with him with some ease. Cannot remember a single positive contribution he made to the side.

Dyer - 7*. Gave the side width and pace, as well as creating chances.

Vassell - 5. Plenty of effort - little end product

Fernandes - 5. Yet another who performed well below his capability.

But when Mills comes back what do you do because seeing as Tunchev has just come back from 2 or 3 seasons out of the game completley he needs games under his belt to rebuild his fitness etc.
