Leicesterpool Posted 27 October 2011 Posted 27 October 2011

Steady on now Tuna, try and relax Ian Dowie will be here soon to tend to all the lost fish. So is the banner idea still rubbish?
Dan Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I wish I'd printed off a load of them for the Millwall game.
shiv Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Fourth Offical Twitter although it's said that MO'N won't be taking over as Leicester manager, there are no quotes to support the claim he's decided not to go back
Master Fox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I think people forget he walked out on us when we needed him most. We were on the verge of greatness, we begged him stay *twice* but he went anyway. Thanks Martin. But no thanks.
norfolkfox222 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 This reminds me of a certain mr Maynard thread!!!??
jonno24 Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Apparently FourthOfficial is not saying that O'Neill will be next leicester manager just dont rule it out completely. Maybe there is still hope
dannythefox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I don't not how anyone can rule martin out as he or his agent has NOT spoke to the press! Last time he said no it was on the news straight away and it hasn't been so fingers crossed.

Or maybe he cannot be asked to tell the media, probably better to be silent and save the inevitable disappointment in not accepting the job.

Callabinho Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 That's a interesting take on the whole situation. It is true though, within reason. But we were a sinking ship so you can't blame him, had major fall outs!!
dannythefox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Or maybe he cannot be asked to tell the media, probably better to be silent and save the inevitable disappointment in not accepting the job. If he's said no then it will come out at the minute its just paper talk until then I am keeping hope!
Babylon Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 It is true though, within reason. But we were a sinking ship so you can't blame him, had major fall outs!! Sinking ship? We'd sold Heskey but the res of the squad was still there and he had money to spend.
Saladin Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 It is true though, within reason. But we were a sinking ship so you can't blame him, had major fall outs!! A sinking ship that he jumped from, strange though, his 'successor' was given quite a big kitty. Sinking ship? We'd sold Heskey but the res of the squad was still there and he had money to spend. Exactly.
dannythefox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 anyway the O'Neill odds have gone from 8/1 down to 6/1 so keep the faith.
Happy Fox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 anyway the O'Neill odds have gone from 8/1 down to 6/1 so keep the faith. Which bookmaker?
Callabinho Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Sinking ship? We'd sold Heskey but the res of the squad was still there and he had money to spend. I referring to problems upstairs not just on the pitch, after that we pretty much fell from grace immediately.
Babylon Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I referring to problems upstairs not just on the pitch, after that we pretty much fell from grace immediately. Yeah because he left and we replaced him with someone who thinks Junior Lewis can play in the premier league.
dannythefox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 Which bookmaker? odd checker didn't notice which one.
Happy Fox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 I find it extremely odd that we didn't have a replacement lined up when Sven was sacked, pretty much hedging all our bets on MON, and now perhaps he doesn't want to come.
renards Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 A sinking ship that he jumped from, strange though, his 'successor' was given quite a big kitty. Exactly. 26m Taylor blew on crap, what MON could have done with that if he stook around.

That's how it usually works though so it's not surprising to me, us appointing Sven minutes after getting rid of Sousa was the exception and not the rule.
Babylon Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 26m Taylor blew on crap, what MON could have done with that if he stook around. Bought Darren Eadie, Graham Fenton, Mark Robbins, Arnar Gunnlaugsson... oh hang on.
Happy Fox Posted 28 October 2011 Posted 28 October 2011 That's how it usually works though so it's not surprising to me, us appointing Sven minutes after getting rid of Sousa was the exception and not the rule. Fair enough, but we at least should have of had some sort of contingency plan knowing that if MON didn't come we would of got our second choice whoever that may of been.

I think the Thais want to do it the right way its stupid but at least there going the right way about it. I don't think they were impressed with the fact that Sousa knew about Sven coming!
