Just heard the interview from nige on radio Leicester and he basically said nothin!

Also said that hull have not been approached, to his knowledge....

But the difference is this time he will be given more money to spend than when Mandy was in charge, hopefully get a better standard of player.

I think you don't understand how much money hull actually have, and the amount available to Pearson either. He's had more money than he had here that's for sure.

Fryatt and Hobbs a think not, Solarno yes!

Fryatt and Hobbs seemed pretty incapable of playing any other way other than the Papa Pearson way. Two players you'd imagine won't get much of a look in with the squad we have now.

I wouldn't have NP in my top 3 choices as I'm not overly keen on his style of football and lack of entertainment but if he comes in I won't be displeased. People seem to forget how well he did here before and was close to getting us to the play off final. The aim this season is promotion, something he will give a good go and may make it happen with this squad. I think people on here think we're bigger than NP now when in reality if you're successful it really doesn't matter who you have.

It's not all down to money. Peter Taylor had plenty of money and so have plenty of others.

Pearson's not been desperately short of money at Hull. But his philosophy is long established. He's the cariacature of a dour and functional professional centre-half turned manager.

Adkins attitude is to prepare well and to "go for it" and it was just the same last season in League One when his team was far more exciting than we ever were at that level. Okay Southampton aren't skint and have generated some money themselves as a club. But Adkins is a winner because of his philosophy not the chequebok available to him.

So that's why he signed them because they play for him every manager has people like that. There hardly deadwood!

I was thinking about the estimates of £10m reported in the media. I do understand he may not get anywhere near that. But the fact is the Thais do have more money than Mandy and hopefully he can get a better quality player. Im not a fan of Fryatt and Solano and don't want them back. Hobbs was ok but did not play very well at all once Pearson had left.

But they are now, if thrown in amongst our current squad. I don't think we've got the players now that would suit him. We've got players that could potentially play really good football and a handful of them could be the nucleus of a squad that would have a decent chance of survival if we were to get promoted. Not a great deal of his old signings would make that handful.

I hope he knows what to do with it. He's bought all our deadwood for Hull.

Or, no money to spend, knew we were having a clear out - get players you know.

Makes sense.

I agree. Any of the players he took with him to Hull, are definitely not on par with what we've currently got.

Howard will be happy if Pearson comes back, as he'll at least get on the bench.

But they wasn't when they left! Not saying he wont end up being ok but people should look at Beckford before they start calling Fryatt deadwood he will always score goals in this league!

Or he had money because Hull aren't exactly skint.

Hull needed to reduce the wage bill and Pearson as done that while keeping them challenging for the play-off places.

Is this the deadwood thats 2 points ahead with a gam ein hand on our superstars?

Yep. Again throw them into our current squad and based on ability not form, how many would make the starting line up.
