If Hull don`t give us permission to speak to Pearson, and why would they, i certainly don`t see him resigning.

I wouldn`t be against him coming back personally, but it would feel a bit like we`ve just wasted the last 16 months, to go back to where we were before he left.

I agree with this

if hull says no hopefully thats it.. seeing as hes the loyal man.. so if hull want him he should stay.. (especially when thats what he says we let him down on, us allowing him to talk to hull)

if they say no and he resigns then makes him look WORSE imo, even if it it for our sake

People saying we've wasted the last 16 months if we get him back in? I think you're just trying to convince yourselves we've actually moved forward.

We may have better individual players than we did 16 months ago, but there's no two ways about it, we've not advanced to any great extent.

IF we get in him and he can get this squad firing on all cylinders, which I believe he can, then we're in business.

I agree with dimmerchant. We may have better individual players but we've not really moved on as a team. Pearson got us into the play-offs and more importantly his assistant Steve Walsh scouted players that made a team and not just a bunch of individuals.

Would love Pearson back! Forget fancy football and playing keep ball, I'd rather see us win ugly.

perarson not coming back , forget it , not big enough name for owners, sitting on the fence like all the managers , but do the owners want him!

But why all the secrecy from the owners? Do they even know who they want, who have they interviewed?

The truth of the matter is it is only us the fans who think we are a big club when in fact we are a middle size club at best. Why on earth would Pearson throw away all he has achieved at Hull to come back to a club that treated him so abysmally? And we by now must have a reputation for instability and knee jerk reactions both in appointing managers and sacking them.

Reluctantly I have come to the conclusion we are just being used by the owners. I could live with that if I thought they knew what they were doing but this latest saga makes me think otherwise.

The only way they could convince me they will move this club forward is to do anything in their power to get MON back here as manager. If they managed that you just know he would have demanded complete control of all things football wise and enough money to further his own ambition.

If on the other hand we end up with the likes of Keane or Davis or any of the other offal that has been mentioned then we can all sing " you don't know what your doing " to Top and co.

Nigel Pearson offered a bumper new deal by Hull

Nov 6 2011 by Alan Nixon, The People

NIGEL PEARSON is being offered a bumper new deal by Hull in a desperate late bid to keep him away from ambitious former club Leicester.

Pearson, 48, has emerged as the strong favourite to take over from sacked chief Sven Goran Eriksson but the Tigers are fighting to keep their manager.

Hull have Pearson under contract but the pressure is on as Leicester have now made an informal approach.

Pearson may be tempted by a return to the Foxes, the club he took to the Championship play-offs before quitting because of behind-the-scenes turmoil.

Former Cardiff chief Dave Jones is still a big contender and could get the nod if there are problems recruiting Pearson.

There is still a slim hope of persuading Leicester hero Martin O’Neill to come out of semi-retirement but Huddersfield’s Lee Clark has dropped out of the running.

Neil Lennon, Roy Keane, Billy Davies and Mark Hughes are also being touted.

You've come to the conclusion they are using us and don't know what they are doing, just because they don't tell you what they are doing?!?!!!!!

Why would they say? Clubs just don't do tha,t so I really can't understand why you think we should be any different.

Things aren't as bad ad some are making out, a good win tomorrow and things are actually aren't too bad considering!

As for the manager situation, we won't find out anything from the owners until it is officially announced! They can't tell us who they have been speaking to, who has been approached.. If we get turned down by someone and it's made public then the manager that does come in will know they weren't first choice and straight away they will feel like undermined!

Not good for anyone is that!

Yes it's frustrating, were not as big a club as some people think, yet this will all get sorted in time and we need to get behind our new manager who ever it is! Whether you think it's the right appointment or not, we all want promotion so we need to pull together and get behind our team!!

Big game tomorrow!!

One thing Pearson has which Sven lacked is an eye for good young players - cleverley, Davies and stocksale all doing bigger and better things now.

And the lad Brady from man utd at hull looks quality

The fact that he wants the job means very little when their is no indication that we have made an official approach, the Thais haven't waited all this time to appoint NP think about it surely we would have been in the loop that NP was the main man they wanted we haven't which leads me to believe that we have wrapped up MON appointment.

I can't fault your belief that MON is coming back.

I'm not so sure but nothing against you though kind sir

Another point unrelated is to all the people thinking that Nigel only plays boring negative football - watch the football league show Hull were attacking with some good moves. No boring football there

lol Happyfox, you will refuse to think its anyone other thn MON. Very optimistic, I like it!!

I'm sure if its not MON announced you'll just consider that a smokescreen, and tops going to turn around and say.... ahhhhh just kidding, gotcha!! Hehe

Think about it in the last week Lee Clark was favorite look what happened their, I have just have funny feeling, why have the Thais been so quite, so tightlipped, it would seem to suggest they want a name manager someone of high caliber they don't want to jeopardize the situation so maybe we have got MON. NP wouldn't be bad.

Posted

If we wanted NP so badly we should have made a approach within the last two weeks we haven't so do we really want NP I don't think so. The rumors that MON wanted the job hasn't died down he hasn't openly refused that he doesn't want the job, the Thais are tightlipped about the whole situation because if they leak any moles to the press that MON is the man they want, MON will not trust them so the fact that Top has kept his mouth shut means maybe he has passed the test of trust with MON. Lets just wait and see before people that it is a forgone conclusion that NP is our manager.

Just listened to the NP interview on beeb site.

I like the way he just so neutral about the whole thing.

My link

I don't think he will come back.

Good way of geeting a pay rise, and getting noticed in the process.

perhaps the hull fan was wrong and the announcement later (if there is one at all) is to announce he's staying?
