whitwickfox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 i find it strange that pearson has actually half denied it in his bombastic attitude and no one has heard a thing from Mon yet pearson has the job. no wonder the bookies are so rich
whitwickfox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 what is it tomtom, you dont think the prospective new manager might actually be watching us!!!!!!!!! thats what you do when you go to a new job
thewarmanator Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 On the Hull website he's talking about bringing new players in during the international break... Do you not remember him signing Tom Kennedy then leaving the next day?
wurmer Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 On the Hull website he's talking about bringing new players in during the international break... Coz he's manager of Hull until we anyone approaches, and he decides to leave. He does it by the book, 100% focused on the current job - as he indicated in his interview.
wurmer Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Is it safe to assume that MON isn't coming , oh well Pearson is the best option we could have hoped for if MON wasn't going to come You've stopped taking the uppers haven't you?
stourbridgefox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 I think if the Hull board were going to reject the approach they would've done it quickly. They must be aware of the rumours and bizarre interviews. http://audioboo.fm/boos/533117
wurmer Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Keep seeing the same Pearson story re-jigged, hopefully without foundation The objectives set out when buying the club was to promote King Power both here and in SE Asia. (Remains to be seen what they have planned for retail here) Being in the Prem would obviously do that, being associated with any part of the top six or so world brand clubs would also help. In Thailand all anyone wants to talk to you about is Man Utd. I can't see the club taking on some dull bloke from Hull. Mon and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer were the two names quoted in the Bangkok post for obvious reasons, the likes of Davis, Pearson etc are hardly exiting or news worthy to anyone outside of the East Midlands, be like showing off your new Vauxhall to your mates Massive life coverage on Thai tv for the rest of the season inc Leeds, they’ll want an ongoing fanfare He's from Nottingham...
Happy Fox Posted 5 November 2011 Author Posted 5 November 2011 If we wanted Pearson so badly why didn't we approach them last week?. It leads me to believe he isn't the number one choice and that MON is.
m00nie Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 If we wanted Pearson so badly why didn't we approach them last week?. It leads me to believe he isn't the number one choice and that MON is. if the clark deal collapsed wednesday night thursday morning maybe peason 3rd choice.. 1st choice.. Mon.. rejeceed 2nd choice..clark.. fell through 3rd choice... pearson
Happy Fox Posted 5 November 2011 Author Posted 5 November 2011 if the clark deal collapsed wednesday night thursday morning maybe peason 3rd choice.. 1st choice.. Mon.. rejeceed 2nd choice..clark.. fell through 3rd choice... pearson How do we know he rejected it?
wurmer Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 We know nothing, in fact we know less than nothing.
Happy Fox Posted 5 November 2011 Author Posted 5 November 2011 We know nothing, in fact we know less than nothing. We usually are in the loop, you have got to congratulate the Thais on keeping this as tightlipped as possible whoever they appoint, they have a done a remarkable job of keeping it inhouse
m00nie Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 How do we know he rejected it? how do we know he didnt?? im giviing an example of what could be happening.. you asked why we didnt approach him last week.. im not going to get into the debate of mon and has he hasnt he again..
wurmer Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 We usually are in the loop, you have got to congratulate the Thais on keeping this as tightlipped as possible whoever they appoint, they have a done a remarkable job of keeping it inhouse /agree (for now, it appears that way)
ARM1968 Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 MON is number 1 - all the others just plan B. but I actually quite like plan B.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 MON is number 1 - all the others just plan B. but I actually quite like plan B. At least we have one now
Bryn Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 You know what? All I want out of this club is hard work, a few wins and some stability. I want us to have club icons again, and Pearson was getting there, and bringing players like Dyer, Howard and Berner with him. I'd swap the Thai money, the slick football and the Premier League to have the earnest progress of Pearson back.
ealingfox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 ^ That's a lie I think you'd rather MON announced Sunday, we don't lose for the rest of the season, get promoted and sign Messi on loan for next season.
Bryn Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 ^ That's a lie I think you'd rather MON announced Sunday, we don't lose for the rest of the season, get promoted and sign Messi on loan for next season. MON isn't coming. As for the rest, its briefly exhilarating but ultimately incredibly frustrating.
The Doctor Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 how do we know he didnt?? im giviing an example of what could be happening.. you asked why we didnt approach him last week.. im not going to get into the debate of mon and has he hasnt he again.. aah religious logic - nothing can be proven so my viewpoint must be right.
STUHILL Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 MON is number 1 - all the others just plan B. but I actually quite like plan B. Do you have inside info to confirm that or is it what you think? I personally think MON was contacted but he immediately said no etc and that was that so Thais moved on and are still no closer to appointing anyone yet
m00nie Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 aah religious logic - nothing can be proven so my viewpoint must be right. no one is saying there viewpoint is right... hence i used the word COULD none of us actually know whats happening but we can guess...

I personally think MON was contacted but he immediately said no etc and that was that so Thais moved on and are still no closer to appointing anyone yet im with this.. i feel MON was 1st choice, didnt want it.. so they examined the candidates, seen who applied, who didnt but was of interest, made a list.. clark headed the list. interviewed him something wasnt right either our end or his. NP name gets introduced...
