Trav Le Bleu Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 It's been said that the new manager will be announced before the Leeds game. That's less than a day now. Right now I am a churning mixture of emotions; I am, :w00t: I'm hoping I'll be But I've got a funny feeling I'll be How is everyone else coping?
AndyBrew Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 How is everyone else coping? Shitting my pants
ARM1968 Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Chilling and waiting to see. Might be a face in the crowd but can't see a pre-match announcement to be honest. Like someone said earlier, boring weekday conference. Will be a missed opportunity!!
Phube Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 If announced before the game... who'd have a say in the team, tactics etc...?
lestajigs Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Where has it been said the manager will be announced before the Leeds game
Guest parky0607 Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 The LCFC facbook thing said stowell will still be in charge for the leeds game... Unless the new manager isnt going to officially be in charge until after sunday
lestajigs Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 If announced before the game... who'd have a say in the team, tactics etc...? Not the new manager
Finnegan Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 I hope it isn't going to be announced at the game. I hope they haven't confirmed it yet. I've been looking at it like this: They'll announce it BEFORE the game if it's an appointment they're confident we'll be impressed with, because they're shrewd businessmen and they know it'll sell a buttload more tickets. If they announce it on the day then they'll know it's probably something we're going to be less than thrilled with.
Happy Fox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 How can they announce it before the game? say 9am and then allow time for punters to buy tickets?

renards Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 On the telebox in Thailand, make good tv if announced just before or during game. That said its anyones guess
fox_favourite Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 I can't find this unless I'm being dumb......... Link?
cc_star Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 It's been said? Where & by who I didn't think there was an announcement until the appointment itself If this is just forum bullshit people are going to be disappointed again & calling it a farce, despite the club or its owners doing nothing other than working to (hopefully) get it right.
dannythefox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 They wont announce a manager tomorrow if they do I'II be very shocked because there no point in doing it.
flanimal Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 It won't be Nigel Pearson if they are going to say who the manager is in 24 hours. He's at a Hull game.
coalvillefox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Just read on another forum their is a press conference at 5pm for Hull but as someone rightly suggested, isnt their always after a game?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 5 November 2011 Author Posted 5 November 2011 Pretty sure the Mockery said earlier in the week that they would announce it before Leeds (by which I assumed any time before then, not actually at the ground before the game) - However, the Mockery is back-tracking on that statement as I've just found out in today's edition (which I didn't buy cos it's got a mag I don't want for an extra 20p! ) No rush to appoint manager. Steve Howard believes Leicester City do not need to rush into appointing their new manager.City had hoped to have their new man in place before tomorrow's visit of Leeds United. Which would seem to be an admission that they had said it earlier in the week - though I can't find out where. Pretty sure RL said something similar too. In any case - my apprehension still stands.
