TheStig Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Honestly back to "route one" - that´s going to get us absolutely nowhere - just like now. Get a decent manager who wants to play football and not just hoof it upfield. Do we have no ambitions? Is Nigel P the right man to take us (at least) into the play-offs?? I have my doubts Leicester City in dire straits as effing always............
blueredswed Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Terrible. That's the sort of jokes that I laugh at! MY THOUGHTS WAS THAT TOP WOULD LIKE IT! And as i´m understand he is reading what I ( you) are reading or :scarf:

flowwolf Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Well for me it's no different to going for any other manager out there. Unfortunately someone gets shit on eventually, we've been on the receiving end enough times here with O'Neil, Little and Magoo all leaving when they got the chance. Yes got to agree with you on that point well made. Perhaps my own attitude towards Pearson stems from the sense of betrayal of previous managers like Little and Mc Gee. I remember the out pouring of hatred for Little with all those Judas and LIAR placards all around the ground after he told us he was not leaving to go to another club then fetched up as Villas new manager at Filbo. Mind you the best sweet revenge was Mc Gee, because he shit on us for a so called bigger club Wolves ? then ended up having to listen to half of Wembley at the Palace game singing Fvck off Mark Mc gee to the tune of " day dream believer" by the monkeys priceless!

Yeh we have ambition, that’s why were currently trying to get the most successful manager we've had since MON, the one that nearly got us back to back promotions with arguably a worse team than what we have now, back in the saddle.
Kitchandro Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 No kitchandro I am not talking about you , just this particular case. I respect what you have to say and the site would not be worth coming on if we all thought the same, so it's all about opinions that's all.
blueredswed Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/football/3918066/Nigel-Pearson-in-Leicester-D-day.html Let him be with Hull!00 Get **** of in January; but offcource.... don´t forget you will have a payoff £2500000000 then take it! I would :scarf:

Wig_Wam_Bam Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Nigel Pearson will be a gd appointment if he had stayed in charge there is a good chance we would have got promoted last season. To say his style of football is boring is rubbish and any way I would rather actually WIN games than play nice attacking football and lose. But i do hope he doesn't bring back Hobbs or Fryatt we have moved on from players of their quality thanks.
TheStig Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Yeh we have ambition, that’s why were currently trying to get the most successful manager we've had since MON, the one that nearly got us back to back promotions with arguably a worse team than what we have now, back in the saddle. We have to go on and not live in the past! NP did the job in League 1 and we continued on the "wave", but the football was awful but maybe that is our destiny - the hoofers that slide between League 1 and the Prem? It does however seem as if the squad need a right kick up their backsides - I mean who can be motivated by playing for peanuts...
TheStig Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Glass half empty then yer? After Leeds - absolutely!
Finchy Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Only lost 4 games at home in the Championship under him, we've already lost that many this season. What a fortress it was!
flowwolf Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Well I suppose with no real credible alternatives to Pearson we will do what we have always done appoint him and just hope.
Fox92 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Only lost 4 games at home in the Championship under him, we've already lost that many this season. What a fortress it was! Agreed. I think we went like a year unbeaten or something before we ended up loosing to Preston, was it?
accessory Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 But i do hope he doesn't bring back Hobbs or Fryatt we have moved on from players of their quality thanks. With Wellens and Gallagher in our starting line-up? I think not..

Yeah, I'd have to be on that "wave" that Norwich and Southampton are riding... it would be carp if we were top of the league or 11th in the Premiership. I love mid-table yo-yoing in the Championship. Pearson out!
Craig Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 People moaning about his style of football His style was winning with a limited squad. The quality of players are (supposedly) better now, so the quality of football should be better than back then. Yes, it won't be as pretty as under Sven; but where's that beautiful football got us? Lower than where we were with Pearson, that's where. We'll be more organised, harder to break down, and a much tougher side to beat than we currently are. I'll take that in a jiffy. Welcome back Nige, all being well.
TheStig Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Yeah, I'd have to be on that "wave" that Norwich and Southampton are riding... it would be carp if we were top of the league or 11th in the Premiership. I love mid-table yo-yoing in the Championship. Pearson out! Ok apoligize for having an opinion!

TheUltimateWinner Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 He is returning. I for one will welcome him with open arms, So what if we play route 1 football, If we win we win! Promotion is what the owners want at all costs, and pearson happens to have the biggest win ratio of any other Leicester manager. Welcome back Nigel! :scarf:
RowlattsFox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 norwich managed back to back .. did we?? Norwich didn't have Newcastle and West Brom in the league at the time, pretty sure Norwich, Swansea or QPR wouldn't have gone up if those two we're still in the league.
Happy Fox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Pearson wouldn't take the job unless he wasn't ambitious, he knows the goal of this season is to get promoted anything less and he is goner
