21st Century Fox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 You don't want a manager because you seem to care about Hull City's fans more than ours. If you don't want him because you don't think he's good enough that's one thing, but not wanting him because he wants to leave Hull? That doesn't make any sense. Not that I totally agree with the whole loyalty thing but I think his point is more that it seems out of character of him to be leaving Hull like this. Would you go out with a girl whose just cheated on her boyfriend to be with you? Would you be wondering when your time was coming. I guess most people saw NP as more loyal/honorable than that whilst he was here. Now we'll wonder if he'll do the same to us should his stock go up. Not a major issue for me, but I think thats more the point.
blueredswed Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 We know. It´s great when wee knew were supporters stands or And i´m glad you have notice that :scarf:

ajthefox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I won't lie, I have a raging hard on right now
topharry123 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Wonder how many of the people saying no were actually pleased when he left? My guess would be none of them so what's changed?
mancunianfox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I don’t think Pearson has any real attachment to Hull…more a marriage of convenience. He got tonnes of unwarranted stick when he first went there and now the results have improved I don’t think he has forgotten that. When he was being interviewed the other day he mentioned this after the interviewer commented that all the fans wanted him to stay and would be upset if he went. Plus Hull is a shithole even compared to Leicester.
somebum Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Looks like Nigel is coming home. Certainly my 2nd choice. Brilliant manager.
Guest shearfox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Pearson never wanted to leave he loved it here, I'm glad that it is now likely he will be back.
italianfox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Do we honestly believe Np would have asked to talk to us? he has alweays seemed a man of interigty and honour? all be it difficult to talk to??
Kingy fox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Hull City boss Nigel Pearson asks to talk to Leicester come on nigel sign on the dotted line .......................................................................................

Not a major issue for me, but I think thats more the point. I hardly think you can compare managers to girls In any case it's all very circumstantial in both situations. Pearson is doing a job for a club he has no reason to be loyal to. He obviously wants to come back to us but has done things by the book. If people saw him as a loyal servant and someone who got attached to clubs then that's their own fault, I never got that impression, I thought he was just professional and did a job that he was expected to do to the best of his ability. I was surprised that he wanted to come back after the way he left but as other people have pointed out, it was probably more to do with Hoos and Mandaric than it was Top and co. If a bigger club comes in for Nige of course he'll go, who wouldn't? If he takes us up and keeps us there for a couple of years I'll still be grateful. I can't imagine Spurs calling for him in the near future though.
flowwolf Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 So when an employer takes you on and pays your wages you expect no loyalty towards them or the supporters. They are just throw away commodities ? I personally don't care about Hull City that is not my point. But i sure as hell care about Leicester city and do not want a manager with such low moral standards.
dannythefox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Do we honestly believe Np would have asked to talk to us? he has alweays seemed a man of interigty and honour? all be it difficult to talk to?? Yes he has unfinished business and never wanted to leave!

So basically you only ever want us to get managers who are currently out of work then?

Are you talking about me or actual managers? I have loyalty to Leicester because I am a fan. I don't expect the same from at least 99% of professionals in the game.

Maybe NP has loyalties with us, hence why he wants to return? No manager loves the club same as the fans, Fergie maybe only exception? Just have a day off.
Reynard Bleu Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 HAHA honesty.... he kicked up a fuss because apparently mm let him talk to hull.. he said he was forced out.. he says hes loyal.. when interviewed the other day he said hes employed by hull and none of this matters. his duty is to hull.. so when they refused us to talk to him that should have been it.. but now hes saying he wants to talk to us... yeah thats really honest... money talks and bullshit walks... I was talking more about what you get with the teams he manages rather than his integrity towards his employers. He is no different from any other manager or chairman in that regard.
marbelladave Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 He wants to come back to us. (It seems) No. He wants to talk to us, not the same thing at all. Maybe he wants to meet face to face so that he can tell us to fook the fook off, wouldn't blame him......
