Pearson is (maybe) signing

I for one would welcome him back. He has the highest win % of any Leicester City manger in the club's history, we went a year unbeaten at home, 24 games unbeaten in League 1, he won League 1 and then guided us to 5th place.

Hull fans just being fickle. They were not moaning when they were unbeaten away last season and when they were in the play offs.

If Pearson comes back, and if very much if just now!

I will welcome him in as a manager but.....

I´m not sure he will be here so long if TOP have the same to told him as to Sven so..

Welcome and bye bye :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:

Hoping you get the same as Sven or more

Norwich didn't have Newcastle and West Brom in the league at the time, pretty sure Norwich, Swansea or QPR wouldn't have gone up if those two we're still in the league.

Plus good Cardiff and Forest teams and the really really streaky Blackpool team that rampaged up the league with gung ho football.

Anyone remember when Pearson left and that Hull fan came on FoxesTalk and started saying here's why he has left and posted pictures etc? Wonder where he is now?

For what it's worth, I'm confident Hull would have been in the play-offs if he stayed.

Regarding this point on their forum...

"He has failed to pick up any points against any team higher than us in the league (this will change as in a few weeks there will be more teams above us)"

We are the opposite so if we can start beating the teams below and keep what we are doing, that'll be awesome!!!

When Pearson took over Hull, they were in a financial mess, had a huge wage bill, and were destined to struggle. However he steadied the ship and calmed the storm, brought in one or two decent players and has arguably turned them into a top 6 candidate.

Yeah it was so embarrassing when we stormed straight back out of League 1 and into the playoffs under Nigel with a weaker squad than we have now...

Don't need to read through any more posts. THIS says it all! Thanks NeilyBoy!

He was posting pictures of Leicestershire and saying 'oh this is why he has left, look at your place' etc

Another thing that I don't think many have mentioned is what kind of message has Pearson sent to Hull now even if he doesn't come here?

How many Hull fans would still want him after he has shown an interest? Most of us will welcome him back because he got pushed out, but if we were in Hull's position and he said he wanted to go back there, I'm not so sure I'd want him to stay.

Micky Adams was better. He actually SAVED the club in 02-03.

The best Pearson can manage this season is the playoffs, and we should all remember how he bottled them last time..

errm no he didn't - Lineker, Heskey and the others that dipped into pocket when we were in the shit saved the club. Adams took a premier league squad back up as would be expected of the quality of the team, off-field problems or not.

I don't agree that 'Adams was better' which you replied to, but I also don't agree with your comment either. Ok, Micky Adams even said that without Izzet we were just 'average', but you can't blame the man for still managing when he had no funds and we were in admin etc. That would be a hard task for most managers, regardless of the quality of the squad, and I will always like Micky for what he did at Leicester.

This.

Us going up under Adams often gets glossed over. Ipswich and Derby had Premier quality players but they didnt go up. To get a team in admin promoted is a phenomenal achievement.

No, i agree it would be a hard task for most managers when you've got no funds, in admin and needing to sell to balance the books but we kept the majority of our prem squad and, realistically we should be winning promotion with that squad. Credit to him for keeping the players minds on the matter at hand with all that was going on around them but I'd still say Pearson did a better job.

We should have achieved promotion under Sven last season, and been in the top two this season then, if we're going on the 'squad'.
