Didn't think I could hate a player more than Dennis Wise, but I absolutely despise that arrogant specimen Joe Mattock. Sheff United last year was my favourite away day purely for the abuse he had to endure. Was absolute magic when he went down injured right in front of us!

Quick tempo, balls into the channels for Beckford and Nugent with lots of pressure on the ball is the key on Saturday

Pompey 0-2 Leicester (Nugent x2, Mattock's leg snapped)

Mattocks mates might be a bunch of "pricks" but I know a mate of his and he's perfectly sound. Bit of a generalisation? Maybe all your mates are pricks?

Mattock is a cretin of the highest order and will be getting bantered from all angles tomorrow.

Don't care what the score is, who scores or how we play, as long as we beat the bastards.

I think appointing Appleton was a gamble and one that could backfire, and I think it will. I reckon Pompey face a struggle this season and 3 points are most definitely there for the taking.

It'll be tight but we'll sneak it 1-0 (Nugent).

Same. Certainly not one where there's a bit of a buzz and there's an immediate impact. They lost to Watford t'other day too. But they still have a decent team. Think Nige will get the better of him though.

How long is St Joseph of Mattockshire at Portsmouth?

Will us non-attending set get to see him at the KP on New Year's Eve?

Loan until Jan 2nd so he may well be present.

Sorry but squirm all you like, me included. There's a fair few of us who rated Mattock. Bumhole up your Barry shitter but theres evidence of praise. His career has stalled but he's stll a tidy performer and he won't be accustomed to picking three out the net. NUGE!!

I always rated him while he was with us, thought he could have been something, definitely would have benfited from another season under NP and not beating up a woman.

Oh well, looks like being another wasted talent from the youth team, he could have been the next Richard Stearman...

Portsmouth will win 2 1. Sorry.

This site will be full of negative NP threads following the positive stuff this week, which will be unfair because football is full of ups and downs, and the sooner we learn to deal with them without over-reacting to either the better.
