goose2010 Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 Skysports.com understands Portsmouth are lining up a double move for West Brom duo Joe Mattock and George Thorne. New Pompey boss Michael Appleton is ready to raid his old club to bring in defender Mattock and midfielder Thorne. Appleton knows all about the pair having worked with them during his time as assistant manager at the Hawthorns and he is keen to lure them to Fratton Park. Baggies boss Roy Hodgson has been looking for a loan move for highly-rated midfielder Thorne so that he can get some valuable first-team action. The 18-year-old is on the fringes of the first-team squad at the Hawthorns and has featured in three games this season. Left-back Mattock has found himself down the pecking order at West Brom, making just two appearances in the Carling Cup this term. Portsmouth will be hoping to finalise a deal for the duo before the loan window closes on Thursday.

Jimbo Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 QUICK!!!! Sign a decent right winger to rip Mattock a new one. he doesn't need to be decent to do that
Basingstoke Fox Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 I remember Watford away for the 3-3 draw in the pub before the game. I went with a very good mate of mine who is a Pompey STH and has been for the last few years. It was quite awkward when all the Leicester fans started singing "We hate Portsmouth, said we hate Portsmouth" I don't hate them at all personally. In fact I've quite liked them as a club over the years. I can't believe some of them see us as their most hated team behind Southampton! Wtf!
phillo Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 dont know with all this hype, pressure on, looking to break into top again, always lose cant handle the pressure.Hope they do common prove me wrong. 3-2 foxes mills, nugent, wellens
Basingstoke Fox Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 This is from when I used to like Mattock. Now the f**ker can go and break his leg again. Love it how he left us to "progress" and is lower than us and has played next to no first team football.
Corky Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 West Brom away a couple of years ago was good for us anti-Mattocks.
Captain... Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 dont know with all this hype, pressure on, looking to break into top again, always lose cant handle the pressure.Hope they do common prove me wrong. Your confusing this team with a Sven team, Pearson won't let them lose focus, he will keep them focussed on the game and he will set us out to beat them, none of this negative play for a draw away stuff. I can see him asking Nugent to play a little deeper, he may want to shore up the midfield with Abe or Fernandes, but I can see him sticking with the same personnel maybe Bamba in for SSL but setting them up to sit deeper and hit them on the break.
z-layrex Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 Do we? They should know the clubs we hate never hate us back.
acooling08 Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 We won't win. We are Leicester, I for one am so sick of having my hopes raise then dashed over the years that I refuse to raise them at all anymore
NewburyFox Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 West Brom away a couple of years ago was good for us anti-Mattocks. As was Sheffield United away last season.
Libertine Dream Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 They've signed Mattock now. Going to be a great away day, old fashoined ground, Nugent return, Mattock signs for them and this rovalry I dodnt realise they had with us.
Simmo86 Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 As was Sheffield United away last season. Don't boo if he gets injured! Naughty!

NewburyFox Posted 24 November 2011 Posted 24 November 2011 Don't boo if he gets injured! Naughty! I wasn't one of the ones who cheered when he got injured, but up until that point it was rather enjoyable!
