Schmeichel 7 - Another top drawer save, couldn't have done anything about either goal.

Peltier 6 - Was held back after Mills got sent off and got done a couple of times by Stewart.

Mills 6 - I'm not blaming him for anything. Put a FANTASTIC block in and gets sent off .

Bamba 4 - Showed again today he is a joke, he messed up in the lead up to Mills getting sent off, could have given two penalties away and was constantly giving possession away. Sell him.

Konchesky 9 - Scored, huffed and puffed all game, up and down his line. Fantastic.

Danns 2 - Donkey

Wellens 7 - Once we went a man behind he protected the back four well and got stuck in, it was obvious we were going for the draw and he stayed solid until their late goal.

King 7 - see Wellens.

Dyer 7 - Huffed and puffed as well, put a good defensive shift in as well and looked dangerous on the break.

Beckford 6.5 - Looked lively whilst he was on,

Nugent 9 - Did everything you would ask of a lone striker when you've only got 10 men, chased everything, held the ball up and was a constant threat.

St.Ledger 7 - Did well, got an elbow from Fryatt (then Fryatt goes down holding his face...) but stayed solid.

Gallagher 5 - Cannot play in a game like that and can't play as a lone striker. Said it all when he was one on one with Hobbs, a natural striker would have ran at Hobbs.

Fernandes 6 - A couple of good tackles and neat touches.

Pearson 8 - He's getting a lot of abuse for his substitutes but those people are hypocrites (i.e. Kitchandro... ) He had to bring St.Ledger on and you have to look at it this way... we're not going to take another defender off and we're not going to take King or Wellens off. If we then took a winger off we would have had no balance so he had to take Beckford or Nugent off... imo Nugent can play the lone role better hence the substitution - spot on. Then he took Danns off when he was SHIT - good move but then realised Gallagher was all over the place and so to steady the ship brought Fernandes on and moved Gallagher up top. Nugent couldn't have carried on much longer the way that he was going.

Referee 0 - I bet he's off to Maryland Chicken right now.

Kasper 8 - another top save to keep us level. Inspiring, and little chance with either goal.

Pelts 7 - Solid performance, up against a tricky opponent today.

Konch 9 - Scored, did his own work as well as Lloyds. Great performance.

Mills 6 - having a decent game until he got unfairly sent off.

Bamba 6 - strong, won most things but gave us a couple of nervy moments.

Danns 5 - looked ok going forward but really failed to produce much.

Dyer 4 -Errrr, was there any point in him playing? Shit.

Wellens 4 - gave the ball away too many times, moaned at people when he fooked up, lazy.

King 6 - very good defending and got stuck in. Made some good runs.

Nugent 7 - Why did he come off? His usual self today, impressed.

Beckford 6 - looked positive, sacrificed.

SSL 7 - Defended well, put his body on the line.

Gally 4 - awful.

Fernandes 6 - gave us exactly what we needed but it was all a bit too much in his own.

The subs were wrong. Why did Gally come on? Why wasn't Howard brought on? Perfect type of game for him. Wellens should've been dragged because he was SHITE.

Schmeichel - 8 - Had a great display today and put in some superb saves. His kicking was dangerous too, really caused Hull some problems when Nuge was able to latch onto the end of them.

Peltier - 7 - Solid at the back and seldom put a foot wrong on a tough day.

Mills - 3 - Worst display so far in a City shirt and was making mistakes even before the sending off. Under threat from SSL.

Bamba - 8 - Fryatt couldn't give a sniff with Big Sol on his back. Kept going right to the end.

Konchesky - 9 - I ran out of superlatives towards the end. Quick, solid at the back, never lost his man, dangerous going forward and scored a striker's goal.

Danns- 4 - The effort was there but it was not his day at all today. Kept on too long.

Wellens- 6- Resolute defensively but anonymous in initiating attacks.

King - 5 - One of those 'is King playing today' games. Did very little in truth.

Dyer - 7 - Looked good going forward with pace and strength a threat.

Beckford - 6 - Looked good when he was on and is showing signs of improvement. Should have stayed on the pitch in my view.

Nugent - 8 - Ran like the Energiser bunny on speed. Constantly looking for his man and set up a goal for Konchesky.

Subs:

St. Ledger - 8 - Worked very hard today and did his claims for a long-term starting berth no harm.

Gallagher - 6.5 - Really quite unfortunate to come on when the game was turning against us but put in effort.

Fernandes - 6 - Showed some good touches when he came on and tried to give the midfield a bit of bite but game was gone.

@Father Ted

Agree with your spread of scores, although I'd mark a few higher

Not sure what Danns did to get a two, more of a liability than the refs we seem to attract

Danns minus1 because he's akin to playing with one less player.

Konchesky 8 - Great goal. Looked like he was playing in front of Dyer at times, great play Konch.

Danns 6 - Better than Gallagher and Dyer. Showed pace and trickery, just lacked something at the end. Unlucky to be taken off.

Wellens 6 - Couldn't get in the game that much (too direct I think for most of the time) but did well in the second half, getting stuck in etc

Kasper 9 Top drawer once again

Pelts 6 Totally mullered by thier winger at times

Bamba 6 Love him but bit dodgy today

Mills 5 or 0 need to see replay of penalty first

Konch 8 very good great energy all afternoon

Danns 4 tried hard but a winger he aint

Wellens 2 Pub player who does nothing but moan - pathetic distribution

King 5 cant fault his workrate but need more quality from him

Dyer 5 see above

Beckford 5 held it up a bit better and more runs off the ball but still well short of where he needs to be

Nugent 7 should have scored before Konch did but worked his socks off as usual

SSL 8 Defended like we know he can

Gally 4 Piss poor - could he have played Gelson in when he selfishly shot ?

Gelson 6 shored up the right hand side well - surely a better bet than Wellens ?

Kasper - 7

Pelts - 7

Mills - 6 need to see a replay.

Bamba - 6 Gave possession away too much, kept trying to take on Hull on his own when he should just be defending!

Konch - 9

Wellens - 4 worst performance Iv seen from him this season

King - 5

Dyer - 6

Beckford - 5 Didnt have much play time

Nugent - 7

SSL - 8 I love him! Rather have him than Bamba

Gally - 5 Didnt look fussed, should of hit it across to Gelson instead of going for glory

Gelson - 6

Also don't know why he brought Gelson on for Nugent, why not put Howard up front and Gallagher on the wing

Posted

SSL - 8 I love him! Rather have him than Bamba

I like St. Ledger also. From what I have seen of him, I would prefer him in my team.

That was a beautiful step over he did to let the ball run out of play!

Schmeichel - 7, pulled of some great saves.

Peltier - 6, was good, sometimes got caught though.

Mills - 5, didn't really see the penalty incident to be fair, so i'll not judge.

Bamba - 5, couple of good tackles, but he needs to stop them dopey runs forward, he just loses the ball.

St.Ledger - 6, thought he did well, loved the little step over-dummy clearance thing.

Konchesky - 7, good finish for the goal, nice on the attack.

Danns - 6, didn't think he deserved to be subbed, seemed a bit threatening coming forward.

Wellens - 6, average, everyone was getting on at him, not sure what for really, i only got mad at him not looking where he passed a couple of times.

King - 6, some good plays and did well when he sat back in a more defensive role.

Dyer - 5, wasn't really impressed to be fair.

Fernandes - 6, from what we saw, he looked good, could of got a goal when Gallagher should of put him through instead of shooting.

Gallagher - 2, wouldn't of brought him on, wouldn't pay him in sliced bread.

Beckford - 5, couple of good runs, not much to comment on really.

Nugent - 7, caused problems, no need to take him off at all.

Schmeichel 7

Peltier 6

Mills 5 - Another silly red, though I coulsnt see the incident.

Bamba 6

Konchesky 8 Steady, and MOTM.

Danns 6

Wellens 6

King 6 - good defensive work, but didnt get into the game in the attacking moments.

Dyer 6 - Thought he was average like the rest of the team, solid game.

Beckford 6

Nugent 6

SSL - 7

Gallagher - 3 Dont rate him, unless he scores he is poor. Shouldnt have been brought on.

Posted

Gallagher as a lone striker was a stupid choice from Nigel to be honest. We needed Nugent or a similar player on to work and run and tackle. Perhaps Gelson up front would have been a good shout.

Posted

Anyone who gives Wellens a rating of 5 or more must have been watching a different game, he was absolutely cack today and is getting worse.

Schmeichel 7 made some great saves, unlucky to concede 2 goal.

Peltier 6 left our right side exposed when they were attacking first half (although Danns was more to blame)

Mills 6 was solid until the red so I have knocked a point off for the red.

Bamba 7 played well for me, had a couple of trademark Bamba moments but defended solidly

Konchesky 9 MOTM defended excellently and scored a great goal, really like this guy.

Danns 4 abysmal

King 5 wasn't great today, ran around a lot but not good enough today

Wellens 2 when you play a shit pass don't stand still moaning at your team mates for being crap leaving your marker to stroll past you.

Dyer 5 ineffective

Nugent 6.5 a lot of effort but was isolated on his own

Beckford 6 didn't really have enough time to impose himself but looked decent and seemed to put a lot more effort than we saw when he first joined.

For entertainment only..........

Schmeichel 7. A generally solid performance but the goals apart was really not tested. Could not fathom why he continued with the long balls well into the second half, with no one but Gallagher up front it was a bit pointless.

Peltier 7. Decent enough despite being put under pressure throughout, got little or no support from Danns yet manged to keep our flank pretty secure despite being outnumbered on a number of occasions.

Mills 6. Looked perfectly OK until the red card, not sure what he has done to upset the refs this season but pretty much every decision seens to go against him.

Bamba 6.5. Some classy defending sprinkled with the occasional 'bombscare' moments, his fluffed clearance was partially to blame for the first goal but that said, he was instrumental in keeping Hull to just a couple of half chances, despite their man advantage.

Konchesky 7.5. A pretty shakey start after which he was quite outstanding, defended well, got forward and scored a good goal, for the final hour he was the best player on the pitch.

Danns 4.5. As woeful in the wide right position as we have seen from him all season, his defensive support for Peltier was non existent and he did nothing going forward. After a couple of good substitute performances this was a real step backward.

Wellens 5. The kind of woeful performance that people point to when the want him dropped. Came up against some decent opposition and came up short. An extra point for at least trying to get stuck in second half.

King 6. Almost non existant in midfield, his lack of physical presence has never been more obvious but he was not helped by the way we largely bypassed midfield going forward. Real contribution defensively around the edges of our box, some excellent play in that area.

Dyer 6. Put on the back foot from the off and largely ineffective. A few good breaks but as so often when things are not going for him, negligable end product.

Beckford 6. Decent enough half hour without ever looking really dangerous, but the our play was so scrappy it is hard to see what else he might have done. Unlucky to be the one sacrificed.

Nugent 7. Worked hard as usual, won numerous throws and corners despite pretty poor service. Managed the assist for our goal with a miss hit shot, probably deserved more.

Subs.

St Ledger 7. Looked pretty solid throughout, at times his reading of the play and his ability to snuff out danger was real class. Perfectly happy with his starting, looks a better bet than Mills at the moment.

Gallagher 5. Replacing Danns he was just picking up the pace of the game when he was moved up top. Absolutely and completely unsuited to the role he looked out of his depth.

Fernandes 7. Not on for long but his energy and exuberence was different class to anyone else in a City shirt.

Posted

Schmeichel 8 - Superb saves when needed, faultless performance yet again. Couldn't be blamed for either goal.

Peltier 6 - Played fairly well, quieter than usual.

Bamba 5 - Worst game in a City shirt, gave away possession cheaply

Mills 1 - He's cost us 3 points.

Konchesky 8 - Absolute top drawer performance, solid defending and got forward expertly.

Danns 6 - fairly complacent all game, but not too consequential

King 6 - Did what was asked of him

Wellens 2 - Did he actually have a successful pass all game?

Dyer 7 - Ran out the defence and got wide well, even defended soundly when needed

Beckford 7 - Looking sharper

Nugent 8 - constant hassle

Schmeichel; Never going to hold it against a keeper for not saving a penalty, would've took an unreal save to stop Koren's too, made a couple though, denying Dawson was a personal highlight. 8/10

Peltier; Had a hard game and didn't handle it too well for me, probably his worst display in an LCFC shirt, which isn't too bad considering I'll still give him a 5/10

Mills; Should be ashamed of himself to be honest. Whilst he's good, £5mil should buy you an almost unfaulted defender at this level, this is literally the 5th/6th time he's let us down, already. 2/10

Bamba; Don't understand some of the comments, yes a daft run every now and then but what did we lose from it? I thought the defence played well today and he was a contributor to that, should've done better for their first though. 7/10

Konchesky; MOTM by a mile, cracking display all-round. 9/10

Danns; Ineffective, thought he was Ronaldinho at times. He needs to up his game. I'm convinced there's a good player in there. 4/10

Wellens; Embarrassing. Whilst I like his attitude with his passes (I'm one of the few), his execution today was fvcking woeful. Not too bad defensively though. 4/10

King; Quiet game, some good, un-noticed defensive play though. 7/10

Dyer; Very quiet game, typical Leicester hero to zero in 4 days, OK, maybe "zero" is harsh but he hardly did anything all game. 5/10

Beckford; Looked sharp in the limited time he had on. 6/10

Nugent; Again, a fairly average game for him. Should've scored but thankfully Konchesky did with the re-bound. Guarantees effort though. 6/10

Subs;

St Ledger; Solid game, he impressed me a lot today. 8/10

Gallagher; Waste of space. Offered nothing as expected in a situation where he's never offered anything. 3/10

Fernandes; Never had a real chance to get in the game. Could've had a goal if Gallagher hadn't been selfish. Impressed again with his energy and work rate. 6/10

Referee; Shit. Looking back the penalty was correct but the red card wasn't, I thought he gave them the general decisions as well, the Hobbs foul on Nugent which didn't even get a FK stands out. Inconsistent and unimpressed, once again. 3/10

Pearson; Made a couple of mistakes today for me but we were beaten by a moment of brilliance and a moment of madness from us. Thoroughly believe if we'd kept 11 men on the field we'd have left with at least a point. Dubious subs but unlucky really. 6/10

I assume one of those possible "penalties" was when he got goal-side of Fryatt who threw himself to the floor with very minimal, if any, contact?
