AjcW Posted 3 February 2012 Posted 3 February 2012 Does anyone else think that applying for another job should be kept secret, for your sake, especially when the club your at has given you **** all money to spend to stay in the prem!
Fox92 Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Gutted. FInished 4th in my first season with Crewe. I was third for about 5 months and when I needed to win, I lost. Ended up loosing 5 games in a row and Crawley nicked 3rd, therefore clinching promotion. Played Dagenham in the play off's, lost 2-1 at their place and then lost 0-1 at Gresty Road. Player's confidence was so low, I couldn't pick them up. So, after winning the JPT and loosing in the play off's, it is back to League 2. Already in the transfer window, so, I've been picking up free transfers. Managed to attract Simon Hackney who I have always liked as a player. Confidence is a massive thing, especially in the lower divisions. If it is low, I just don't seem to win. Gutted. FInished 4th in my first season with Crewe. Yea confidence is massive. I won L2 with Southend and am now one of the favourites to go up again. It's difficult to get consistency and as soon as you lose a couple you start to get into a rut which is difficult to get out of. The key is to start well and gain a lead which can be chucked away.
RonnieTodger Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Ran the Blue Square North, finishing with 91pts from 42 games with FC Halifax Town. Reached the 4th Round of the FA Cup and lost 8-2 to Norwich. Won the FA Trophy, beating Dorchester in the final. Pablo Counago and Izzy Iriekpen = gods. Look forward to the Blue Square Premier now
Simmo86 Posted 7 February 2012 Posted 7 February 2012 Getting this tomorrow! Been out of my life to long!
Fox92 Posted 8 February 2012 Posted 8 February 2012 Gone back to my original save because I got bored with Crewe. And no wonder I did start a new one, my 7th season at Leicester is getting worse. Currently sitting 6th in Premier League, about 10 points off of 5th, got knocked out of the quater-final of the Carling Cup by Liverpool, and just got knocked out of the FA Cup 5th round by Birmingham who beat me 2-5 (who are mid table Championship and their manager is Nigel Pearson) Just need to get to the summer now and re-form. I need about 6 new players but the club's finanical position is only 'okay' and my transfer budget is fairly small.
Dan Posted 8 February 2012 Posted 8 February 2012 What's the best way of using Pjanic on 11? I have him as attacking mid for Napoli and he seems to absolutely dominate for other sides but for us he's getting like 7.15, it's not bad but could be better.
Simmo86 Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Right then, started as Leicester but with a January transfers update database. Outs: Bruno - Peterborough 150k Darius - Brighton 850k Wellens - Leeds 900k Gally - Ipswich 1.2m Moussa - Bristol Rovers loan Ins: Ivan Bandalovski - CSKA 90k Bressan - BATE 1.5m Dario Bottinelli - Flamengo 3.5m Teko Modise - Sundowns 500k Nick Montgomery - Sheff Yoo 1.5m (Dont laugh, his BWM stats are ridiculous) Just about to sign Gregg Wylde for 5 months as Lloyd has just torn his hamstring and still on the look out for a couple of strikers, need a decent backup for Nuge in the DLF role. Using the tried and trusted 4-2-4 with the team as follows Kasper Bandalovski Mills Bamba Konch Montgomery Bressan/Modise/King Bottinelli Dyer/Marshall Nugent Beckford Started pretty well beat Millwall 1-0 at Home first game followed by 3 away wins 4-1 at Morecambe in the LC, 2-1 at Brizzle City and 3-2 at Barnsley after been 2 nil down too 2 screamers inside 10 mins. Attacking wise I'm more than happy with the way we're playing creating loads of chances but still not happy defensively, need to keep tinkering with that.

After posting this, I went back on Football Manager, and lost at home 0-6 to Manchester City. But, that seemed to wake us up, and I won all my 9 remaining games - a quite unreal run which saw me win at Stamford Bridge, and at home to Manchester United. Newcastle slipped up against Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City meaning I finished above them and got a spot in Europe Just in summer now, and the owner's have given me £25,000,000 (at last a high budget!), so I'l probably go and pinch Newcastle's top striker who has scored 25+ for the last four season's in the Premier League. He is fantastic, always gets a hat trick against me, his name is Yaya Sanago (or something like that).

Sanago is a beast, if you start another game with a decentish team you should be able to pick him up pretty cheap right away. Plays for Auxerre to begin with

Plays for Auxerre to begin with I've got him on my Spurs save. Him and Fierro are both out on loan at the minute. I have Jovetic, Welbeck and Leandro fighting for one place up front so it makes sense to loan them out. I've got Hazard playing as an attacking mid, he is an absolute beast. Bale is an assist machine too!!
Fox92 Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Sanago is a beast, if you start another game with a decentish team you should be able to pick him up pretty cheap right away. Plays for Auxerre to begin with Yeah I made a massive mistake - when I got promoted, along with Newcastle, he finished top goalscorer in the Championship and played for Blackpool at the time who finished mid table. Anyway, I made a bid, along with Newcastle, and Blackpool asked for 4.5million but I didn't want to pay that much and he ended up moving to Newcastle. He has finished top goalscorer in the Prem for the last 4 seasons, and Newcastle want at least 24million for him (he is still only 25 though).

I have him as attacking mid for Napoli and he seems to absolutely dominate for other sides but for us he's getting like 7.15, it's not bad but could be better. Ratings aren't the be all and end all. If he's not the hub in your attacking play and doesn't score/assist from set pieces, then 7.15 is a very decent rating. If you want to get a higher rating with him, adapt your formation to get the most out of him. You're looking to feed him the ball as often as possible and giving him passing options. I'd suggest at least three forward players (strikers or attacking wingers) and three support players (wingbacks or midfielders) giving him maximum options. As for the Sanogo love-in, he's been one of the leading young strikers in the last three versions of the game. He's a must buy if the cash and the reputation is available. Oddly though, in my experience he's not that great as a target man due to his lack of bravery and aggression, ordinary first touch and lousy passing, not to mention his workrate and TW. And he's also lacking in vital poaching skills (OTB, dribbling, anticipation and good but not great speed) which can make him somewhat of a square peg in a round hole.
Finnegan Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Sanogo is shit for the value in 2012, imo. He'll go the way of Henri Saivet (and, apparently, Khoumar Babacar) in future versions.
Bugg Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Sanogo was shit hot on FM2010, not so much on 11 and 12.
shen Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Sanogo is shit for the value in 2012, imo. He'll go the way of Henri Saivet (and, apparently, Khoumar Babacar) in future versions. £3mil is damn good value for someone who requires very low wages and becomes a top Prem striker within a year So sad to see Babacar lose his massive FM potential The Mexicans and South Africans are the shizzle this year...
kingfox Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Agree with the above, doing some hunting on the internet and seeing there potential on the game, the Mexicans but South Americans look the business. Juan Manuel Iturbe, Carlos Fierro and Erick Torres are three young strikers I would buy, anybody who plays the game should look into them three, because they are quality. Signed Fierro for Newcastle, along with Johansson a Swedish right back with good potential, also signed Scott Sinclair and Tshabalala who is a beast in cup competitions. Going to look into Iturbe and Torres, along with a centre back and central midfielder in January. Mathieu Peybernes a young French centre back has good ratings, and I will also try and sign Mark Noble, rate him highly.
Simmo86 Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Tried to sign Tshabalala for Leicester but he turned me down for some unknown Russian side!

Haven't seen Iturbe develop into anything extraordinary. Xulu and Jali (the South Africans) turn out great too, although you're likely screwed if you don't get them straight away.
Bugg Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Started my Second season with Huddersfield after completely destroying league 1. My Team going into season 2 looks like this : Smithies Hinkel - De Laet - Mee - Elokobi McDermott - Drinkwater - Livermore - Ward Rhodes - Wood Can anyone reccomend me a couple of decent wingers within a budget of £5million, I usually sign Gregory Nelson for dirt cheap but Leicester nicked him off me

I pretty much want him scoring and assisting a lot and picking up better ratings, he's gone from a world beater to a good player, that's downhill. Then again whilst others perform so well, maybe he's just having his space taken by my other players. On the other side, I've unearthed a total gem. Chilean youth forward who I thought had alright stats, signed him for £1mil out of sheer boredom, he improved a lot from 16-18 (the age where he was still at his old club but had agreed to join us), went into my U20's and scored like 45 in 30, averaging something daft like 2.5 goals a game for the final few, he's actually going to become the best Cavani, arguably the best deal I'll make and it was total luck.
Simmo86 Posted 10 February 2012 Posted 10 February 2012 Just won on penalties at Carlisle Missed four times when we had the chance to win, but Gregg Wylde came to the rescue! Also didn't need 120 minutes in the week leading up to Forest away!

Boskovic was about £500k and was an absolute hero, highly recommended at that level!
