Jimothy Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 People on here, people in the media or other drivers? Twitter and Facebook would be the main places I've seen people lay the blame on him. I know Twitter and Facebook are full of tools but some people genuinely think he was at fault there. They do after every incident involving him. Congratulations Vettel. Was hoping Alonso would do it but Vettel did enough. How often do World Champions finish down the pecking order in Brazil?
Jimmy Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Oh please... Goodbye Schumacher. all 3 of his titles should be on the desk of Adrian Newey, EVERYONE knows this, he was absolutely nowhere before their upgrades unlike Lewis who was let down by **** up after **** up by McLaren and Alonso that wrestled an underperfoming car the whole season
Danizen Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 I don't like him but I wouldn't say he's unworthy. He recovered twice today when it looked like he was shot. Hopefully Ross Brawn can give Lewis a fast, reliable car next year by bending the rules a little.
nothin2seehere Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Not sure how I feel. I'm not a Vettel or Alonso fan, so can't really be happy at the moment. But for Hamilton's last race to end like it did, with what really was just a racing incident (should Hulkenberg has been more cautious?) makes me a bit sad. Still, I can support HAM in Mercedes next year.
Captain... Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Don't like vettel, can't take away what he has achieved but he is just not a likeable character.

Do you even watch F1?

isaidno Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Congratulations to Vettel , but Alonso has been the best driver this season. Hamilton should have won the title, Mclaren had the best car. Hamilton lost certain wins in Abu dhabi & Singapore , had cock ups by the team in Spain , and was taken out in Valencia & brazil . Add those points in and he would have won the title easily .
Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Great race, keeping it in the balance right to the last couple of laps. Thought the drive through for Hulkenburg was harsh, surely just a racing incident, he just lost it for a micro-second in difficult conditions and that's what happens, don't think you can blame him. You'd never have overtaking in the wet if you penalised someone every time the did that.
BlueSi13 Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Absolutely nowhere? Do you even watch F1? Great racer i agree, but not the best in F1, that title goes to either Alonso or Hamilton by a clear stretch IMO. You simply cannot deny the affect that Newey has had, after all this is his NINTH world championship! and Vettel has had Newey designing his cars during his entire stretch at Red Bull. I guess the only way to find out how good he is, is to ban Newey!
isaidno Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 I don't understand the Vettel criticism . Ok , he's got the best car, but he's won a race in a torro Rosso. He really had to fight for the title today

BlueSi13 Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 No one can without a good car. Red Bull was no faster than McLaren overall this season. McLaren were diabolical in terms of reliability, pit crew errors and just general luck this year, however the Red Bulls comfortably won the development race after the summer break...when you know who had time to figure out what the **** was wrong with his car. I don't think anybody is denying that Vettel is a quality racing driver, its more of a case that he has joined the VERY elite band of drivers who have won three world championships and that he has largely been given a free pass to achieve it when so many others didn't get that privilege.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Why does no one ever mention how good Button is? As was said on BBC, when the conditions are changeable, he's head and shoulders the best.
Danizen Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Why does no one ever mention how good Button is? As was said on BBC, when the conditions are changeable, he's head and shoulders the best. Most of the time he is slower than Hamilton but he finishes more races that's why they were only separated by two points. He's good but I'd put at least five drivers ahead of him for sheer speed.

Amin Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 It was a shame that Hulkenberg bumped into Hamilton because both drivers were doing great.
Collymore Posted 25 November 2012 Posted 25 November 2012 Not sure bow Hulkenburg got a drive through either. Whilst Vettel didn't. I don't think either deserved one. Not sure how hulkenberg's rear axle didn't snap when he hit Hamilton. I reckon if you set up that redbull for any individual F1 driver they'd do very well. You don't make it to F1 by fluke, all 20 drivers are gifted 1 in a 100 million. You couldn't just put timo glock in vettels car and he'd be world champion. If Redbull spent a year developing the car for Timo though then I bet he'd have a chance, as for any of the drivers...
Super_horns Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Brazil is usually quite a dramatic race and it proved so again. Unlucky for Alonson who is the best driver I feel but well done Vettel...just did enough. How do you think Hamilton will do at Mercedes?

I think he will initially struggle with the car but I also think he will flourish in an environment where he is allowed the freedom he needs.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 26 November 2012 Posted 26 November 2012 Hope Heikki can stay on at Caterham now one of my favourite drivers
