woddyuk Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Kasper by more than a country mile,,,, then pelts and nugent. Only players consistent. Well not consistently crap I mean.
foxfanazer Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Kasper, peltier or konchesky. Gotta be Kasper though, must've win us so many points already this season
leicesterisme Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Kasper without a doubt followed by Peltier.
FrankieADZ Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Just for his performance alone I'd have to say Kasper as hes been brilliant 98% of the time this season. Second for me would be Pelts or Konch's as they've been fairly consistent most the season.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Kasper, though a lot of that judegment is made listening to Stringer- He always seems to make outstanding saves at the games I've not been to Then Konchesky and Nugent on a par with each other. really like Nugents running and enthusiasm, and Konchesky has been probably the most consistent behind kasper
cc_star Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 Pelts & Kasper for me Nugent deserves an honourable mention too, wish more of his work towards goal though rather than just working the channels, but he's damn fine
funkyrobot Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 For me it's got to be one of either SSL, Pantsil or Johnson. Berner has been good as well.
oli fox Posted 2 January 2012 Posted 2 January 2012 gonna just be an echo and say kasper followed by nuge, konch and pelts
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Nugent... He's not stopped running despite so often not having anyone to play off. He's scored goals, he seems a great character to have at the club. Great asset IMO. Kasper has almost been made to look good because he has had an awful lot to do. He makes some great saves but is prone to errors of judgement and too often kicks it straight out. Good keeper but Nuge sneaks it, for me
LCFCmatt Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Out of Nugent, Konchesky, Schmeichel or Gallagher.
Guest MattP Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Not even a contest. Kasper miles ahead of anyone else.
Corky Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Schmeichel, one who has genuinely improved what we had before.
StanSP Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Kasper - for reasons already mentioned really. Makes some crucial saves and barely makes a mistake. Can only think of maybe 1 or 2 goals where he should have saved them but that's it. Words can't describe how much I value his presence in goal instead of Chris Weale. Close behind would be Lee Peltier. First time in this division and settled in from the moment of his first game, which was vs Coventry where he opened his and our account for the season. I just wish for his sake that at least one time he cuts in and scores a cracker with his left foot!
Captain... Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Kasper without a doubt. Apart from the Portsmouth game where he had a howler of a game and got fortunate he's played a blinder all season. Nugent 2nd Konchesky 3rd You seem to be forgetting the Forest game where his stupidity cost us, and more recently against Ipswich where he called for the ball so Bamba and Abe left it leading to their goal, admittedly after pulling off a penalty save. I also thought he was at fault for Donny's first, too. Saying all that, still been our best signing and probably player of the season so far, followed by Konch

I also thought he was at fault for Donny's first, too. His red card at Forest was due to the ref having a brain spasm - first in awarding them a penalty and then taking offence at Kasper kicking the ball out of the net. Hope we don't see that scumbag again on Saturday. The Ipswich goal you refer to was more due to a hesitation by Bamba than anything else, though the rest of the defence could have done more to react. Saying all that, still been our best signing and probably player of the season so far, followed by Konch I'd rate Peltier slightly ahead of Konch, especially as Peltier faced strong competition in Pantsil for the right-back spot.
StanSP Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 I'd rate Peltier slightly ahead of Konch, especially as Peltier faced strong competition in Pantsil for the right-back spot. I wouldn't call it 'strong' competition . But I do see your point.
Captain... Hope we don't see that scumbag again on Saturday. The penalty was harsh, but Kasper got booked for dicking around before the penalty was taken and then again when he kicked the ball in to the stands after we conceded, both were stupid and unnecessary and cost us a point by having Weale in goal. The Ipswich goal you refer to was more due to a hesitation by Bamba than anything else, though the rest of the defence could have done more to react. Because Kasper called for the ball, that is why he didn't go for it. Still love Kasper he has been our best keeper for a long time, just see the same selective blindness for favoured and unfavoured players, Kasper still has some improving to do especially when coming to claim the ball.
Chazwaz Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Kasper followed by Nugent they have both earned their wages so far.
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 3 January 2012 Posted 3 January 2012 Up to this point in the season 1) Kasper 2) Nugent 3) Konchesky
