GianEmmo Zola Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Heskeys was still the best goal of the game... Perfectly placed.. !
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 He sees it as his best game of all time I think, and his third goal really was quality.
acooling08 Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Haha Steve Walsh would have destroyed Ian Wright at the end!!
hairy Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Amazing how a shit game suddenly turned into a great football spectical in the last few minutes. Brilliant night
Stadt Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I wasn't even born then Gary Parker set pieces were how they should be taken.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 What a night. Came away wondering if I would see such a game again and I am still looking. And as for the stuff after the final whistle!!
Babylon Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I wasn't even born then There was me getting a warm fuzzy feeling remembering nights like that and you put them out by making me feel old!!!
Corky Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 What a night. As a 7-year-old it was great. And Babs, you are old
Babylon Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 And Babs, you are old I'm only 32... I'm still a baby!
Webbo Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 His 2nd was a bit lucky tbf. 1st and 3rd were amazing. I wasn't there but I can't imagine many of our supporters were politely applauding the 3rd as it was in about the 5th minute of stoppage time I was calling the ref all the cheating cvnts under the sun when Bergkamp scored their 3rd. What a fabulous night that was.
Babylon Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 What a fabulous night that was. Football doesn't seem the same any more, I don't think it ever will again. Just thankful I was in my late teens early twenties during the O'Neill years.
Bayfox Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 to be honest, i didn't really realise at the time and was more pi$$ed off at the fact I thought he had won the game for them, but when Walsh scored our 3rd the ground was going mad, and that was a thumping finish, I suppose it's only when you look back you realise what you witnessed live.

Just thankful I was in my late teens early twenties during the O'Neill years. I'm slightly older than you ( , 36) and feel exactly the same. They were unbelievable years and I feel lucky to have been able to enjoy them at an ideal age really.

Salieri Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Bing born in 93' and growing up seeing Leicester in constant decline wasn't fun I genuinely have sympathy for the younger fans. Had nowt but dross to put up with in the main. Hopefully the tide is turning but unfortunately football as a whole just doesn't seem as enjoyable any more. Or maybe I AM just getting old.
Corky Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 I managed to see those years and enjoyed them a lot, depsite my young years. Unfortunately I thought it was always like that, doing well in the Premier League and trophies. Sadly how wrong I was.
Ozwin Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Still on the lookout for the full game if anyone has it? I asked in the early hours but obviously everyone was in bed. Can't find it anywhere.
MC Prussian Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Was it Ian Wright (unused sub) who was having a go at Walsh after the final whistle? I also do recognize one of the Leicester stewards - the one with blonde hair and the beard, wearing glasses. Still active 14 years on, is he?

I'm 43 and the best City side since MONs glory days was the Micky Adams title winning team ( can't for the life of me remember what season that was)... It's all gone downhill big time since although I fully enjoyed winning League 1 actually. It was great to go to away fixtures and know we were gonna turn most teams over. What's happened since... Well God only knows... I'm just gonna say its 'complex' and leave it at that.

Bloody hell, we've got enough to be negative about without conceding things will never be any good again no matter how successful we are! For Christ sake stop living in the past (and I'm aware of the irony of that since I'm commenting in this thread ) Maybe people have just forgotten what it's like to have good times?
Narborough Bod Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 Does anyone by any chance have this game? I'd love to download it and have it forever more. One of those games you NEED in your collection. No...you need the last 10 mins + injury time. We were completely outplayed for 80 minutes by a far superior team & it was NOT good. And then...what an awesome 15 minutes. Almost boner injucing just thinking about it.

Happy Fox Posted 4 January 2012 Posted 4 January 2012 We never knew when we were beaten that is what I loved about those days players kept on going till the very end, magical times hopefully to be repeated in the near future.
