Haydos Posted 2 February 2012 Posted 2 February 2012 Whole new meaning to the phrase 'grasping for straws' in that article.
Finnegan Posted 2 February 2012 Author Posted 2 February 2012 Whole new meaning to the phrase 'grasping for straws' in that article. Only if you massively miss the point and over look the part where the Englishman writing it says: "Consider the following stats a fuse under pre-tournament arguments and pub discussions rather than scientific fact. They are designed to be provocative rather than predictive, rugby freakonomics rather than the basis for regime change. But they are intriguing nonetheless."
FoxyPV Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Lovely second try from the French. The Italians are playing well
Tielemans63 Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 French look more solid than they have for a while - that's why I think they'll win the whole thing. Fear for England this evening - very little experience, new captain with only 1 cap to his name and a coach with no top level experience - think they might get thrashed.
Finnegan Posted 4 February 2012 Author Posted 4 February 2012 the Calcutta Cup is such a ****ing boring fixture.
marko Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 the Calcutta Cup is such a ****ing boring fixture. Of course it's boring... it's rugby!!!
Finnegan Posted 4 February 2012 Author Posted 4 February 2012 Scotland are ****ing terrible . Woeful finishing. Really, really poor. No wonder they can't score tries.
The Doctor Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 So poor. Got into good areas and ****ed up with the incredibly basic mistakes. One thing I will say is England are definitely going to struggle this year, we should have been out of sight but for such crap handling whenever we got into their 22.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 C'mon England beat the sweaty socks! Please. Didn't have to, Scotland beat themselves. You might have just seen the bottom 2 teams play each other on that performance.
ScouseFox Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 scotland are shit at everything and always will be
Finnegan Posted 4 February 2012 Author Posted 4 February 2012 One thing I will say is England are definitely going to struggle this year, we should have been out of sight but for such crap handling whenever we got into their 22. I don't know, that was always going to be a difficult game. Baptism of fire (or ice?) for Lancaster and some of his youngsters. He's actually putting together a very interesting and quite talented group of youngsters there and expectations are rightfully low. But while I expect Scotland to carry on much as they did today, I can see England going from strength to strength now that they've got that first win under their belt. I'm certainly not looking forward to our going to Twickenham. Oh and, sorry, but three wins Andy Nichol? You should be focussing on avoiding a white-wash, Italy looked really promising today - take note, Scotland.
Alexikokopops Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Of course it's boring... it's rugby!!! HONK Have that Finners!
Finnegan Posted 4 February 2012 Author Posted 4 February 2012 HONK Have that Finners! So how are England doing in the cricket at the moment, Marsh?
purpleronnie Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 So how are England doing in the cricket at the moment, Marsh? better than scotland?
Alexikokopops Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 So how are England doing in the cricket at the moment, Marsh? The England and Wales cricket team (Welsh: Tîm criced Lloegr) is a cricket team which represents England and Wales... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England_cricket_team
Finnegan Posted 4 February 2012 Author Posted 4 February 2012 The England and Wales cricket team (Welsh: Tîm criced Lloegr) is a cricket team which represents England and Wales... http://en.wikipedia....nd_cricket_team You care. I don't.
marko Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 So how are England doing in the cricket at the moment, Marsh? It's actually an England & Wales team. Remember the likes of Simon Jones, Robert Croft, et al. Anyway, we're the #1 test team in the world. Thanks for asking!
Alexikokopops Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 You care. I don't. Just because we (England and Wales) are not doing well at the moment doesn't make it boring
marko Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Just because we (England and Wales) are not doing well at the moment doesn't make it boring He's in denial. If Robert Croft was still tweaking those little off-breaks for England and Wales, he'd be all over cricket like white on rice.
Alexikokopops Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 He's in denial. If Robert Croft was still tweaking those little off-breaks for England and Wales, he'd be all over cricket like white on rice. A glorious sight I miss this man
Bert Posted 4 February 2012 Posted 4 February 2012 Knew we'd start with a win against the worst team in the comp.
