Lesta Legend Posted 6 January 2012 Posted 6 January 2012 My sister 'knows' him really well and said they spoke earlier.. I scoffed at the idea as it would seems this would be too soon and thought my sister was talking BS; however on reflection - after the iclusion of Liam Moore and Tom Kennedy NP has the balls - Plus with SSL and Sol not in contention and Tunch not fully fit we are thin on the ground I have heard rave reviews about him but i'd guess he would be in the match day squad if anything. Perhaps something Sven should have been doing from time to time rather than getting Internationals (SSL) into the club limiting to warm the bench - counterproductive
Jagdinho Posted 6 January 2012 Posted 6 January 2012 He is in the squad, i said in the Forest away tickets thread.
Jagdinho Posted 6 January 2012 Posted 6 January 2012 https://twitter.com/#!/tafty6 He's number 6 in the background picture if you don't know what he looks like.
Adster Posted 6 January 2012 Posted 6 January 2012 Wrote on his facebook that the Gaffer called him and said he was in the squad.
Ashley Posted 6 January 2012 Posted 6 January 2012 Was in the year below me at School. Decent player, also has a Rory Delap esque throw.
The People's Hero Posted 6 January 2012 Posted 6 January 2012 Good for him. We won't get to see a lot of the youngsters much for a few years with the money sloshing around so its testament to some of these lads that they are getting a look in. Whether its testament to their ability or just to their attitude, is hard to say, as we know NP values hardworking, professional players. Best of luck to him if he gets his chance. Lets hope he's not overwhelmed and that he puts in a good performance and enjoys himself. Must be a great feeling for the lad.
deep blue Posted 6 January 2012 Posted 6 January 2012 7 subs tomorow as well I think. Put this on the pre-match thread, this thread seems more appropriate. We appear to be very short of CB's for tomorrow. Assuming Bamba out (African Nations Cup), SSL out (transfer-listed), Tunch not certain to be fit. If Tunch is fit then surely he & Mills will be at CB, and Taft on bench. If Tunch not fit then Mills & Taft at CB. Only viable alternative for CB I can see is Peltier - if fit - and Moore continuing at RB. Unless Berner? Someone suggested Abe as an alternative for RB but I think that would leave us very short of midfielders. Maybe I should have written "even shorter of midfielders". Maybe chance for Moussa?
Fox92 Posted 6 January 2012 Posted 6 January 2012 Didn't realise he played for Derby before us. My mate who lives on my street used to play with him at Derby, that's where my mutual friend with Taft comes from on Facebook. I could see Pearson doing this though, especially with us being short of centre backs tomorow and the two teams being able to select 7 subs. I am pleased Pearson is giving the younger players a chance though, I hear Taft has been playing well, along with other players of course.
Langston Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Was in the year below me at School. Decent player, also has a Rory Delap esque throw. Ha - I have relatives in Leicester - Longslade in Birstall? Wasn't he smashing Mattock's sister at some point?
MattGamble92 Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Ha - I have relatives in Leicester - Longslade in Birstall? Wasn't he smashing Mattock's sister at some point? Smashing each others sisters is common in Birstall. Along with shit Fish and chip shops.

scousefox4 Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Great news ive been harking on about this young lad for a long time now , i have been to the last 2 reserve games at belvoir drive & Taft looked outstanding in both , this boy must be at least 6ft 6" tall with a lovely left foot , like Liam Moore its absolutely fantastic to see young talented players at our club breaking through , both born & bred in Leicester i believe ,even better

Captain... Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Smashing each others sisters is common in Birstall. Along with shit Fish and chip shops. OI! There is a great chippy in Birstall, has been there for years, at the end of sibson road, never had better. Is Taft from Birstall then?
Bryn Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Hope he plays today, we're short of cover, makes sense to give him his debut when there aren't vital points at stake.
ceebeefox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 I thought he was from Glenfield. He is , l played with his dad at Kirby Muxloe and Anstey Nomads , he was a very tall footballing centre half , good player.
