LCFC BEAST Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Watch out mate!! You'll be punished for that... I'm waiting for the barrage of abuse about it
Happy Fox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 http://www.mirrorfoo...icle850452.html Money-bags Leicester City are ready to make Billy Sharp one of the Championship’s highest paid players with a deal that could earn him more than £5million over three-and-a-half years. The Foxes are set to snap up Doncaster hitman Sharp this month, hoping that he’ll shoot them into the Premier League as quickly as possible. If he succeeds he will hit the jackpot. Sharp, 25, has hit 10 goals for lowly Rovers this term, and averaged more than a goal every other game. If Rovers, as expected, accept City’s £3million offer, then Sharp will win a contract until June 2015, worth nearly £28,000 a week, and rising to nearer £40,000 a week in the Premier League. He will also be guaranteed a £200,000 signing-on fee. Sharp will be offered a Premiership retention bonus of £250,000, payable at the end of each season that top flight status is assured.
Tielemans63 Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Not quite sure how the Mirror can know this when the fee has only just been agreed. I'd take what that newspaper says with a pinch of salt. I'd imagine there's an element of truth in there but most of that strikes me as the journo's guess work.

That is a lot, certainly can't see anyone else offering him close to that kind of deal.
Happy Fox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 That is a lot, certainly can't see anyone else offering him close to that kind of deal. It is pure insanity on our part makes getting promotion this season absolutely f**king necessary.

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 I love Billy Sharp but am scared we would ruin his career like we do so many others
Adster Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 It is pure insanity on our part makes getting promotion this season absolutely f**king necessary. Kinda proves me point from a few days ago, you believe everything you read. Chill out!
Collymore Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Sharp's record speaks for it's self - nearly 1 in 2, yes please!!!
Happy Fox Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kinda proves me point from a few days ago, you believe everything you read. Chill out! I am fine nothing wrong just seems alot of money for an average championship striker, backed up information by a PA reporter SimonPeach Simon Peach Led to believe #SaintsFC do not harbour any serious interest in #DRFC striker Billy Sharp, who has been offered £28k per week by #LCFC.

His far better than average but still it's crazy money...
Bert Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Very much doubt we'll complete this until Monday at the earliest.
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 His far better than average but still it's crazy money... I've been calling for the signing of Billy Sharp for months... However, If these figures are true, they are crazy crazy money and, again, will furnish a good young player with too much money, too quickly... Thereby the financial incentive becomes lost overnight. The games gone absolutely fookin barmy
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Very much doubt we'll complete this until Monday at the earliest. Is that your insider knowledge again Bert, or possibly stating the bleeding obvious?
He's not bald Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 To paraphrase Rafa Benitez - "We need a lamp, so we're getting 5 sofas". We need some creativity in our midfield, until then we could have a front two of Pele & Bebeto - we'd still score less than a morbidly obese homeless person with a serious case of brick wall face. How do you get morbidly obese if your homeless...eat the dustbins ffs
m00nie Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 whys everyone worried about the money.. .1 its not our money and 2 is it really that much?? all players get a signing on fee, a bonus is not uncomon so one for staying in the prem isnt bad. 28k rising to 40k in the prem again dont seem crazy wages (in comparison to footballers) either...

Well it depends really how you perceive it to me to be floundering in midtable isn't that great in all honesty so money wise lets hope Sharp produces the goods likewise the rest of the team.
Libertine Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Because some people worry about how the financial situation at the club they support will be if this all goes tits up. Doesn't matter if it's not 'our money'. They remember administration. And they are absurd wages for lower end PL, let alone mid-table Championship.
The Doctor Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 How do you get morbidly obese if your homeless...eat the dustbins ffs Hmmm, me thinks you've missed the meaning of the comparison.
sdb Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 I reckon we'll compare him to Fryatt in years to come. A good Championship goalscorer for Leicester City. Only this time we're paying insane amounts. Not a criticism of the guy, and I pray i'm wrong, but I can see him just becoming part of the furniture at a club going nowhere fast,
m00nie Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Well it depends really how you perceive it to me to be floundering in midtable isn't that great in all honesty so money wise lets hope Sharp produces the goods likewise the rest of the team. hes producing them so far so... people are always banging on about np inheriting svens rubbish yet wehn we try and change it it becomes another issue Because some people worry about how the financial situation at the club they support will be if this all goes tits up. Doesn't matter if it's not 'our money'. They remember administration. And they are absurd wages for lower end PL, let alone mid-table Championship. the thais still seem in it for the long haul so we need to just go with it and enjoy.. how are they absurd wages?? 28k, the bonus is if we STAY in the prem, the 40k is if were in the prem, every player gets s singing on bonus...
He's not bald Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Hmmm, me thinks you've missed the meaning of the comparison. to what
