Leicester_Loyal Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Could be a good signing, a player with something to prove who won't be on mega wages. If hes good enough, Pearson will sign him.
rico Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Cotterill and Nugent linking up well at Portsmouth
Head Honcho Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 This could be a decent signing, but you do have to question why he can't seem to hold a first team place at all his other clubs!
Leicester_Loyal Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 This could be a decent signing, but you do have to question why he can't seem to hold a first team place at all his other clubs! At Swansea he had Sinclair and Dyer ahead of him in the pecking order. And they then signed Routledge too. I can't comment on his other clubs though.
Bettsy82 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 This guy hasn't got aclub for a reason leave this one alone.

mhs123 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 after just watching Swansea beat arsenal 3.2 with 3 quality wingers in dyer, Routledge and Sinclair, a rare luxury indeed I can see why they can let cotterill go and for sure he will have a better football pedigree then what we already have
FallenAngel Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 This guy hasn't got aclub for a reason leave this one alone. Nugent was without a club, should we not have given him a chance then?
Bettsy82 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Nugent was without a club, should we not have given him a chance then? Didn't Portsmouth try to keep nugent ! Yes they did. This is completely different nugent had loads of offers on the table this guy hasn't.
dannythefox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 If he was good he would have a club IMO but my mates from shef utd say he's a decent winger.
Tielemans63 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 If he's got an ounce of passion and/or desire that makes him better than any of our other midfielders.
escos Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 If he was good he would have a club IMO but my mates from shef utd say he's a decent winger. He was released by Swansea on weds and trained with us on thurs!! Hardly without a club for ages was he?!
flowwolf Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 What have we got to lose at the moment surely he can't be as shit as the players we have now ?
Cropwellfox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 He'd have given us a different option than the inept performance we saw yesterday, on that basis get him in - shame he or anybody else won't be eligible for Tuesday though - god knows what sort of performance Savage and Keane will be commenting on on Tuesday night.
paddy Agyemang Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Get in in the starting 11 for Tuesday please, JUST SIGN HIM NIGEL
Happy Fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I'd take a hedgehog at the moment! Sonic the Hedgehog
Simo86 Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 Get in in the starting 11 for Tuesday please, JUST SIGN HIM NIGEL He wouldn't be able to play on Tuesday because he was not registered for the original tie
kyle09uk Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 If only. I think even he would turn us down because we couldn't guarentee him enough worms in salary!
WardyisPukka Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 http://www1.skysport...ok-at-Cotterill - on trial then!! must be better than what we have
Finnegan Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 He's only better than what we have because we only have one winger. He's no better than Dyer, to be perfectly honest. He's a speed merchant with few other attributes, he's never really even near the Wales squad. I've watched his career with interest since he went to Wigan but he's just really failed to deliver and, as others have said, there's a reason we've got him on trial because he doesn't have a club. Scored a good goal against us last season, mind, to be fair.
MPH Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 I think its an indication to where we are and how we are playing that people are starting to pin all their hopes on a player who could not get a contract with anyone else.....
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 16 January 2012 Posted 16 January 2012 This gets more depressing every day. If we are pinning our hopes on the likes of David Cotterill then we are well and truly ****ed. What is worse I keep telling myself to just ignore Leicester as there are more things in life than this bloody football club, but still I can't stop checking to see if we have signed or are on the verge of signing anyone half decent. Imagine the dissappointment I am feeling right now where the only 2 players we look remotely like signing are a crapper version of Dyer and a Conference player. ****ing spectacular
